Thank you for submitting the forms and some historical background information about this structure. It is the opinion of this office that we do not have enough information to make a determination if this structure meets National Register eligibility criteria. Nevertheless, as it is not being demolished but will be used for an interpretive center, this agency has no concerns about the city renovating the Hurricane Harbor structure for a new use. In 1927,this building was a garage never used as one.Other buildings along the dock were built and auto repair shop serving as a"front"for receiving and in the next ten years. Note the tracks on the dock and the storing contraband liquor during prohibition.
