I have just received a telephone call from Harvey Hall, Engineer with
the State Road Department, Fourth District, Fort Lauderdale, and he
advised me as follows:-
The

The State maintained seventy-six miles of roads in Indian River County
last year at a cost of $1800 per mile per annum. Statewide, the cost
of 2600 miles of maintenance was $1580 per mile.
I do not think these figures agree with the figures General Development
had in mind, however, I am taking it upon myself at this time to call
Mr. Ken Miller and bring this to his attention.
