Dear Mayor Flood:
RECEIVI=Q 10 9 ig86
Wayne L. Allen
Vice President and
Assistant General Counsel
In response to your request, this letter is to summarize our understanding
of the current status regarding our prior discussions of a proposed city
golf course and a proposed city water and sewer system.
Consistent with our development plans and economic considerations we are
willing to enter into discussion with the City leading to the eventual establish-
ment of a City utility system. We are willing to consider donation of our
existing utility system to the City if we determine after negotiations with the
City that such a step would be mutually beneficial. The City, we understand,
is exploring various plans and alternatives with the Farmer's Home Administration.
In reference to the proposed City golf course, we are willing to discuss
participation with the City once a definitive plan is presented to us. If the
City presents a plan which demonstrates to us a benefit to our overall sales
programs, then we would give serious consideration to appropriate participation
by General Development.
I believe the above accurately reflects our discussions, and those you
have had with Mr. G. P. 11ozian, Vice President, General Development Utilities,
Inc.; with Mr. Robert Ehrling, Executive Vice President and with Mr. William
Avella, President, General Development Corporation.
We look forward to continuing to work closely with the City in the future
on these and other matters.
Sincerely,
WLA/hw
