Re: Unit 16 - Drainage Plan Revisions
Dear Mayor Flood:
RECEIVED JUN 1 6 1980
Wayne L. Allen
Vice President and
Assistant General Counsel
In accordance with our discussions on Thursday, June 5, 1980, and sub-
sequent discussions with the City Engineer, we agree to make the follow-
ing changes to the revised drainage plans presented to the City last
week.
1. We will grass the bottom of drainage ditches in lieu of putting
down soil cement, although the latter is still our recommended
procedure.
2. The slopes of drainage ditches will be graded to a 5 to 1 slope.
If there are unusual conditions such as large trees which this
slope is going to interfer with, we will discuss such individual
problems with the City Engineer at the time.
3. Where we disturb areas above the slope necessary for the drainage
ditches we will mulch and seed these areas to prevent erosion.
4. We will install rip rap, three bags high, using standard DOT grout
filled bags extending from Tract "R" through Tract "T" as shown on
sheets 7 & 8 of the drainage plans. Bags will be installed on the
lot purchaser's property. The first bag will be dug in and we will
back fill. We were unable to reach the City Engineer but I believe
this meets his requirements fron our prior discussion. When the
bridge goes in a proper tie-in will be made to protect against
erosion.
I want to thank you for your cooperation in this matter and you can be
assured that in the future we will review any major drainage plan
