(GDU) currently operates and maintains 142 fire hydrants within its service area in Sebastian Highlands. All water mains and fire hydrants have been installed in accordance with plans submitted to and approved by the City of Sebastian and the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation. Although we inspect and maintain all hydrants on a regular basis, we have not been performing flow tests in order to conserve water.
