THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That Section 23-1 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Sebastian, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 23-1. Street Names; Designation and Changes The street heretofore designated as Fleming Street and Grant Avenue, as the same extends Southwest from Main Street and Yucca Court to Wimbrow Drive shall hereafter be called and designated as "Main Street." The street heretofore designated as Rose Arbor Drive, as the same extends northerly from Laconia Street to Grandeur Street shall hereafter be called and designated as "Bevan Drive." The street heretofore designated as Rose Arbor Drive, as the same extends easterly from Laconia Street to Barber Street shall hereafter be called and designated as "Periwinkle Drive." The street heretofore designated as Rose Arbor Drive, as the same extends in a semicircle east, then south and west from Melrose Lane to Melrose Lane shall hereafter be called and designated as "Carnation Drive." The street heretofore designated as Rose Arbor Drive as the same extends southeasterly from Melrose Lane to Bevan Drive (formerly Rose Arbor Drive) shall hereafter be called and designated as "Tulip Drive." The street heretofore designated as Lansdowne Drive, as the same extends easterly then south from Melrose Lane to Barber Street shall hereafter be called and designated as "George Street." The street heretofore designated as Lansdowne Drive, as the same extends westerly from Barber Street (south) to Laconia Street shall hereafter be called and designated as "Rolling Hill Drive." The street heretofore designated as South Easy Street, as the same extends southeasterly from Englar Avenue to Schumann Drive, shall hereafter be called and designated as "Dahl Avenue." The street heretofore designated as First Street, lying north of SR 512, as the same extends west from the Florida East Coast Railway right-of-way to Louisiana Avenue shall hereafter be called and designated as "Taft Street." The street heretofore designated as First Street, lying north of Main Street, as the same extends from the Indian River to North Central Avenue shall hereafter be called and designated as "Jefferson Street." The street heretofore designated as Second Street, lying south of SR 512, as the same extends west from High Street to Louisiana Avenue shall hereafter be called and designated as "Harrison Street." The street heretofore designated as Second Street, lying north of Main Street, as the same extends west from North Central Avenue (U.S. #1) to Louisiana Avenue shall hereafter be called and designated "Truman Street." The street heretofore designated as Ninth Street, as the same extends west from the Indian River to the Florida East -Coast Railway right-of-way, shall hereafter be called and designated "Davis Street." The street heretofore designated as Tenth Street, as the same extends west from North Central Avenue to the Florida East Coast Railway right- of-way shall hereafter be called and designated "Madison Street." The street heretofore designated as Eleventh Street, as the same extends west from North Central Avenue to the Florida East Coast Railway right-of- way shall hereafter be called and designated "Jackson Street." The street heretofore unnamed as the same extends Northwest from Main Street (formerly Fleming Street) toward runway number 22 at the Sebastian Municipal Airport shall hereafter be called and designated "Airport Drive East." The street heretofore unnamed as the same extends east from Roseland Road toward runway number 31 at the Sebastian Municipal Airport shall hereafter be called and designated "Airport Drive West." SECTION II. This Ordinance shall take effect immediatley upon becoming law. SECTION III. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, -2- or word of this ordinance is for any reason held un- constitutional or invalid, for any reason, such ruling shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any of the remaining portions of this ordinance. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was finally passed by the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, on the day of 1982. O - 90-/7 AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 23-1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, BY CHANGING NAMES OF VARIOUS STREETS WITHIN SAID CITY WHEREAS, the United States Postal Service has requested that the names of certain streets be changed in order to lessen confusion in the location of residences and to improve postal delivery; and WHEREAS, the developer of Sebastian Highlands, General Development Corporation, has been consulted and has concurred in the proposed name changes; and .WHEREAS, Councilman Everett Gass has made certain recom- mendations to the City Council changing certain designations to streets in said city; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Sebastian i:; in accord with such recommendations, therefore, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Code of Ordinances, City of Sebastian, Florida, is hereby amended by adding a section, to be numbered Section 23-1, which said section shall read as follows: Sec. 23-1.
