Dear Mr. Masteller:
1''S 06AAd

Elm,
This is in reference to our telephone conversation on December
2nd in which we discussed the current interest in fluoridating
Sebastian. You stated you did not feel that General Development
Utilities Corporation would proceed without strong support from
the City. You also felt that the City Council would not provide
this support at the present time.
At your suggestion, I am writing this letter for you to
present to the City Council to determine how they would like to
proceed. The Florida Fluoridation Project has made a commitment
to the City of Sebastian to provide the necessary financial assis-
tance to implement fluoridation and to pay the fluoride chemical
costs for two years. Our waiting list of communities desiring to
obtain this valuable asset to improve the community's dental health
continues to grow. In order to be fair to these waiting communities,
we need to know if the City of Sebastian would like to actively
pursue completion of the project or be assigned a lower priority
so the monies allocated for Sebastian can be assigned to another
community.
Please advise in writing if the decision is to postpone action
for the present time. If any additional clarification or assistance
is needed, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Harry W. Davis, D.D.S., M.P.H.
