RE. All Aboard Florida
Dear Governor Scott:
Enclosed you will find a Resolution recently passed by the City Council of the City of
Sebastian. That Resolution respectfully requests that you, and other elected officials,
consider the impacts to small communities on the Treasure Coast of Florida and to work
toward the mitigation of those negative impacts relating to the All Aboard Florida
initiative.
Specifically, the enclosed Resolution would require: 1. All Aboard Florida to privately
fund all costs related to the project without any State or Federal financial assistance; 2.
That the State provide financial assistance to local business negatively impacted by the
project; and, 3. State support of the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council's
recommendations to mitigate negative impacts on the area by the All Aboard Florida
project.
Please consider the enclosed Resolution as a map to insure that All Aboard Florida will
not impose a permanent negative impact on Sebastian, and other Florida local
communities.
