Agenda Item Title: Discussion only: Sebastian Seawalls
Recommendation: Conduct Council discussion on Seawall issue
Background: At previous Council meetings, presentations have been
made regarding certain seawalls along the Elkcam
Waterway. Some seawalls on the waterway have separated
and are protruding into the City right-of-way. To date, no
seawalls have collapsed and all, with identified problems,
are on private property. The City Manager and City
Engineer have scheduled a meeting with representatives
from St. Johns WMD to discuss any/all solutions that may be
available to the City, and to residents. The City Engineer will
present findings learned from the St. Johns meeting for
Council's discussion regarding Elkcam, George, and
Schumann Waterways.
