P-211 Limerock Base Course in the subject project. After consideration of this request and the information which was submitted with the request we have decided to decline your request for substitution of the cemented coquina base course material. We have used cemented coquina on F.D.O.T. Aviation projects in the past for access roads, but have not used the material in any airfield pavements. Our decision is based on the relative importance of the pavement areas. P-211 Limerock Base Course material has been used extensively in airfield pavement sections throughout the state and the specification was developed over extensive amounts of experience. Therefore we will continue to use P-211 Limerock Base Course materials for airfield pavement sections and will allow cemented coquina in access road and parking lot pavement sections. Thank you for your interest in this project, if you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, GREINER, INC. Eric Nielsen, P.E.
