Box 127 Sebastian, FL 329.58 Dear Mr. Eisenbarth: I am in receipt of your letter of May 16, 1986 regarding a change from Agricultural to Commercial General, of Parcel (s) of land in Section 13, Twp 31, R 38E. Since this land is immediately north of and adjacent to our property, I cannot agree to the proposal and object to having commercial property next to ours. In as much as this parcel (s) of land is completely surrounded by residential property, I solicit the Zoning Commission to maintain the land as agricultural and/or residential, as commercial structure adjacent to residential property will devaluate that property. We do want to voice our strenuous objections to a commercial rezoning of the properties described in your registered letter. We Purchased our lot and built our home in what we supposed was a residential area. We live just off of route 512 - the third house on right - number 667. As I work in my front yard I observe car after car running the stop signs both at Vocelle and Fleming Streets. Also,speed- ing cars coming off route 512 onto Fleming often times make the curve over on the wrong side of the street. The traffic is heavy because Fleming and Vocelle Streets are used as thoroughfares to and from the Sebastian Golf Course, Roseland Road, as well as access to Route 1. A zoning change of the property to commercial would increase the traffic problems a thousandfold, the noise, and transient personnel with subsequent security problems. I have taken a city plot plan and taped a cutout section to show what could be done with a residential rezoning (enclosed). The 512 corridor lots could be zoned for business with the remaining balance subdivided into residential size lots. I feel certain that this proposal would make an ample return on the investment and the area would remain as it was originally intended - residential. We also believe that there are available properties more suited to commercial enterprises than this area - we refer specifically to the properties along Route 1. Please take consideration of our deep concern - please keep this area residential.
