AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, ANNEXING THE
NORTHWEST 1/4 OF THE NORTHEAST 1/4 AND THE WEST 1/2 OF THE NORTH-
EAST 1/4 OF THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 13, TOWNSHIP 31 SOUTH,
RANGE 38 EAST; LYING SOUTH OF COUNTY ROAD 512 AND NORTH OF
SEBASTIAN HIGHLANDS UNIT 16; AND EAST OF LANDSDOWNE DRIVE;
CONSISTING OF 57.42 ACRES, MORE OR LESS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the owners of that certain parcel of land described
hereinafter have petitioned the City of Sebastian to voluntarily
annex this property into the City of Sebastian; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the Petition
bears the signatures of all owners of the land proposed to be annexed;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the area
proposed to be annexed is contiguous to the City of Sebastian and
will not result in the creation of any enclaves, but will, in fact,
eliminate an enclave that presently exists; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the area
proposed to be annexed constitutes a reasonably compact addition to
the incorporated territory of the City of Sebastian; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the annexation
of the subject real property is in the best interests of the City of
Sebastian,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:

That the following described property, now lying and being in
the unincorporated area of Indian River County, Florida, is hereby
annexed into the City of Sebastian, Florida, and the boundary lines

A copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of Indian River County and the Florida Department of
State.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the fore going Ordinance annexing Chesser's
Gap was finally passed by the City Council of the City of Sebastian,
Florida, on the n!< day of 1986.
