He is now working to have the design done (and possibly signed off by IRCU) by next Friday, April 14 (one week from now). He will be transmitting to us by Monday a draft Work Order under their (SBS) existing Engineering Services Contract for this work. Assume this will be handled by Finance and Public Works. Joe: Thanks very much for accommodating us on short notice. We appreciate it. -- Dave -----Original Message ----- From: Wayne Eseltine Sent: Thursday, April 06, 2006 12:18 PM To: Alfred Minner; David Fisher; Terry Hill; Chris McCarthy Cc: Debbie Krueger Subject: RE: Uft Station Design for Restroom at Splash Pad Project I spoke with Chris about this yesterday. We will continue to process the splash pad, restroom and the rest of the site improvements. Obviously, we would need to see the completion of the lift station prior to completion of the park, but the installation of the lift station is approved and inspected by IRC, so we only get involved when the electrical permit is pulled to provide power to the lift station. Al Minner City Manager City of Sebastian -----Original Message ---- From: David Fisher Sent: Thursday, April 06, 2006 9:27 AM To: Alfred Minner; Terry Hill; Chris McCarthy Subject: Lift Station Design for Restroom at Splash Pad Project All -- This to confirm that Joe Schulke, P.E., of SBS Engineering (mobile tel. #633-6046) will be here to meet about this with Chris McCarthy tomorrow morning (Friday, 7 April) at 7:45 AM. Joe says if we can give him the relevant working information tomorrow morning, he could have the lift station design done by the end of next week (14 April). At that time the County (Mike Hotchkiss at IRCU 1 tel 567-8000 ext 1821) can sign off and it will go off to DEP where it will likely take 30 days (around the 3rd week in May) for DEP approval. Terry Hill advises this will be a "private" lift station that will be maintained by the City (not IRCU). This saves about $80,000 in the cost of the lift station but does require the City to be able to handle the maintenance (need mobile generator during power outages?). Chris McCarthy says he is preparing a package of information, including a survey, to give to Joe Schulke so he can get started right away. I believe we will need to do a "Work Order" to the existing umbrella engineering services agreement we now have with SBS. Joe estimates the cost of this lift station design / permitting to be less than $5000 if we provide the survey. Established practice thus far is for SBS to draft the Work Order and submit it to us for further procurement system / contract processing. -- Dave Fisher David Fisher From: David Fisher Sent: Friday, April 07, 2006 9:14 AM To: Ginny Sieferd Cc: 'jschulke@sbsengineers.com'; Chris McCarthy Subject: RE: Transmit File I,a6h Pad Project Site Sketch to Joe Schulke, P.E.
