I am forwarding this to Burt to answer the questions regarding the Veteran's Memorial.
Regarding the restroom repairs, I respectfully suggest you go with Flinn Construction because they are familiar with the
situation, have done a lot of free homework on this very messy matter, and have given us what I believe is a fair and
reasonable basis to determine a competitive price to proceed. Please confer with Paul on this.

I have prepared the Bid packages for these projects and will forward on Monday July 1 for review and approvals;
However I have the following questions/concerns:
Veterans' Memorial
• Is the 12" pipe which goes under access walk to Memorial and connects swales part of this bid or is it by
others?
Is the Stop Sign relocation by others?
Benches are by others?
• Stepping Stones and Flag Pole by others? Will Flag Pole require a support pier/footing?
Restroom Repairs
• Type/size of tile should be specified. If we have acceptable samples that we can show bidders, that will do,
• Same goes for tile adhesive. Will we require a thin set or a glue? What about the grout?
• Do we have samples of the new push plates?
• The shorted -out electric locks are replaced like in kind?

Flinn Construction performed an on-site inspection of the restrooms located at Hardee
Park, Barber Street Sports complex and the Sebastian Yacht Club, based on the deficiency
report submitted by Holeman Suman Architects, dated February 20, 2002. Based on
discussions with your staff, a large portion of the report deals with cosmetic problems
which will be repaired "in house". We propose to furnish materials, equipment and labor
to repair the major problems as follows:
Barber Street Sport Complex.
1. Chip and grind concrete floors to achieve a proper pitch towards drain in
both women's and men's rooms; prepare floor for new tile surface; supply and install new
ceramic tile; reset floor drain. (Color of tile to be selected from samples provided.)
2. Remove existing hardware, install new push plates and reinstall hardware
on entrance doors.
3. Clean paint from handicap bars.
4. Patch holes in stall doors.
Total cost estimated to be less than $4.500.00
