f The meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m. by Chairman Gore. Those presew at the meeting
were Chairman Gore, Lawrence Hardison, Judy Robinson and Marjorie Poole, absent Eugene
Ewert.
Chairman Gare asked to dispense with the Treasurer's Report.
Motion was made by L. Hardison to accept minutes of last meeting, motion was seconded by M.
Poole. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Obi Besiness: Claim form for disability claims drafted and explained by Attorney Vince Torpy
who was present. Attorney Torpy also ained Plan 185.35 F.S.. Attorney Torpy feels we
should go forward with claim and have hearing regarding the claim. He advises the Board engage
an independent physician and/or psychiatrist to examine claimant. Opinion to be based not only
on a legal basis but also on a factual basis. If a claim is found to have merit on a factual basis, then
at that point get an opinion on the legal standpoint. When asked, Mr. Torpy informed the Board
that his fee was $80.00 to $85.00 per hour.
Chairman Gore made asked for a motion to accept the presented claim form. L. Hardison made
the motion to adopt the claim form and motion was seconded by J. Robinson Unanimous vote to
accept form.

A motion was made by M. Poole to retain Attorney V. Torpy to represent the Board, motion was
seconded by J. Robinson and met with unanimous approval.
