minutes be corrected in the last part of the second paragraph where Mrs. Talbot was
asked to write a formal letter of complaint 'to the Board' - to read 'to the City Council'
who would then refer it to the Board if necessary. George Orth then motioned that the
minutes be accepted and Charles Falzone eeoohddd this.
Bill presented a proposal from G is Holmes who is planning on opening a family shoe
store to be know as the "Sebastian Farhily Shoes" - a discount store. It will be in the
,Jasuin;ton Plaza and , hopefully, will be open by November 1st. George moved that we
act on this favorably and Charles seconded the motion.
Art Mayer then told us that Mr. Estes had approached him concerning his new
building on North Central. kir. Mates wants a sidewalk to replace the green area. Discussion
followed. Bill requested a change of site plan. He said that,in his opinion, we cannot
act on this until we receive a change of site plan. Any action was tabled.
David Narsh gave out 2 sheets of information on the water_ and sewer needs of the City.
(see attached). Discussion followed.
I then asked Mr Mayer about the 3 items we had previously sent to the City Council.
Art replied that there had been two readings on the Tree Ordinance but at the second,
a property owner objected so that now we havj%ave a Public Hearing on this. Discussion.
Then I was authorized as Secretary of this BAd to write a letter to the City Council
regarding the Zoning Ordinance, the Sign Ordinance and the Tree Ordinance.... as we have not
had any report back on any of thesinor any notice of formal action taken. We would like to
be informed of progresn these three subjects by the City Council. Such a letter was
proposed in the form o a motion by Charles and seconded by George.
It was also strongly suggested that some one of us should attend the Council Meetings
and/or the workshop meetings to represent our Board. This will be take up in more detail
at the next meeting.
There being no further business, Charles moved we adjourn at 8:10 P.M. and George
