ALL MEMBERS WERE PRESENT
New business began with Mr. Easley, one of the four individuals
who had requested to become members of the Board. He was
informed that he would be notified of any selection.
The next order of business was Mr. and Mrs. Radke, a local
Real Estate office. Mrs. Radke could not understand her
requirement of appearing before the Board for her approval
before opening her business. It was explained that the
Real Estate in question was a residence in a c-1 location
and that in order for it to be changed and used as a C-1
Commercial - the change from Residential to Commercial
requires approval from the Zoning Board. The misunderstanding
occured when Mrs. Radke was given an occupational license
by City Hall Personnel prior to any approval from the Board.
Since Mrs. Radke has invested considerable money and due to
an oversight in City Hall, Mr. Golien and Mayor Flood said
they would meet with Mr. and Mrs. Radke at their place of
business and resolve the problem. Mr. Golien informed Mrs.
Radke that she is to deliver to the Bard a letter indicating
the owner of the building, Mrs. Ingmason, fully understands
that the Real Estate in question can never be returned as
residential.
The next order of business, Mr. Hyatt of 9555 S. US#1, Sebastian,
phone 589-1866 presented a site plan for a mining operation
located Sect 20 and 29, Township 31 South Range 39 East. He
also requested approval for a sump. Indicating that Dr.
Christian of the University of Florida would monitor the
sump. Mr. Hyatt said he would reques.t such a letter from
Dr. Christian.
Mr. Falzone motioned approval for the site plan and Mr.
Messersmith seconded the motion. A vote was taken and passed.
Mr. Marsh presented some information relative to commercial
and industrial properties of the various cities. He indicated
that a more extensive report would be forthcoming.
A vote will be taken at the next meeting to indicate who would
be chosen to fill vacancies on the Board.
A motion was made and the meeting adjourned 9:30PM
