Now we know this is far from the truth. Fit individuals show a 5% loss in endurance per decade. The world's record at the age of 40 in distance races is within 5% of the actual world's record. At 50, it's within 10%. At 60, it's close to 15%. This is clear evidence that apparent aging is due more to inactivity than to loss of work capacity." --George Sheehan M.D. "The next time someone asks you which credit card you'd like to use, say, "Yours. 99 "Look fear in the faze, and it will cease to trouble you. 99 —Unknown "Just as there are no little people or unimportant lives, there is no insignificant work.-" —Elena Bonner "People do not really decide their future. The fat would meh during the Estivides, emitting a fragrance that functioned as one of humanity's first perfumes. Today, Americans spend $6 billion a year on perfumes and colognes. The study says that very high cholesterol raises the risk of strokes that result from blood clots in the brain. But it also showed that low cholesterol increases the hazard of the less common but potentially devastating hemorrhagic strokes that result from burst blood vessels in the brain. The ideal amount of cholesterol level is 200 for preventing these strokes. . From Kathy Brauer STAFF MEETINGS The boss always scheduled the weekly staff meeting at 4:30 on Fridays. It is the fourth leading cause of insomnia. Problems behind this syndrome include iron deficiency, anemia, uremia, diabetes, pregnancy, Parkinson's disease, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and rheumatoid arthritis -- but the disorder remains poorly understood. If you think you have this problem, be sure to get checked for iron deficiency anemia, and for nerve problems in your legs. BAD NEAPS ABORT SUNSCREENS Regular use of a sunscreen – with an SPF of 15 or more – during the first 18 years of life can cut the lifetime risk of non -melanoma skin cancer by 781/6. The bad news: Sunscreen may not provide protection against melanoma – the most deadly type of skin cancer. Researchers believe the use of sunscreens may actually accelerate the onset of melanoma. This is because they allow people to sit out in the sun longer – and ultimately expose themselves to more ultraviolet rays. Bottom line: Use sunscreen to protect you for sunburn and some types of skin cancer. To reduce the risk of melanoma try to stay out of the sun between the hours of 10 a rn. and 3 p.m. – hours when the sun is most intense. Wear tightly -woven clothing, sunglasses, and a widembrimmed hat for increased protection.• Source: National Cancer Institute PBAHH,TY RVSURANCE 40 500/a of all home mortgage foreclosures in the U.S. are the result of an uninsured disability. According to a recent Gallup poll, 82% of women believe that breast cancer causes more deaths than diabetes. NOTE.• Only 3.6% of American women die of breast cancer.
