THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY (SEBASTIAN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION) OF
THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, HAS SCHEDULED A PUBLIC
HEARING IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 1225 MAIN STREET, SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA
AT A MEETING TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2017, AT 6:00 P.M. TO MAKE
A RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL REGARDING ORDINANCE O-17-01 WHICH
PROPOSES TO AMEND THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, ARTICLE XXII – LANGUAGE
AND DEFINITIONS, BY ESTABLISHING DEFINITIONS FOR “MARIJUANA” AND “MEDICAL
MARIJUANA TREATMENT CENTERS”; AMENDING ARTICLE V – ZONING DISTRICT
REGULATIONS, AND AMENDING ARTICLE VI – CONDITIONAL USE CRITERIA, BY
ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA TREATMENT
CENTERS; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; SEVERABILITY;
AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
ALL INTERESTED PARTIES MAY APPEAR AT THE HEARING AND BE HEARD WITH
RESPECT TO THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT.
