PRESENT: CHAIRMAN DON LIVINGSTON, GEORGE PEPPER, LLOYD~.'RDNDEAU, ZENO RAWLEY, JOHN VAN ANTWERP ARRIVED AFTER R~LL CALL. ABSENT: DAVID NISBET, LYNN WRIGHT. MOTION BY MR. PEPPER, SECONDED BY MR. RONDEAU, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF JANUARY 24. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR. PEPPER, SECONDED BY MR. RONDEAU, TO APPROVE THE FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE PERIOD ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1984. CARRIED. MR. RAWLEY REPORTED THAT THE GRAVEL LANE IS FINISHED. NO PROBLEM WITH DRAINAGE. CONCRETE PATHS BEING FINISHED. MR. PEPPER MADE A PROGRESS REPORT ON PLANS FOR THE COUNTY OPEN. POSTER DESIGNED. ALL SLOTS WILL BE SOLD BY END OF WEEK., 250 WILL BE DISTRIBUTED BY NEXT WEEK. ALL THE HOLES EXPECTED TO BE SOLD. MONEY FROM ADVERTISING WILL BE USED TO ~Y FOR PRINTING AND.~TO~,GET~THE TOURNgzMEN~.OFF~ THE GROUNDi¥ MONEY FROM SALE OF HOLES WILL BE USED WHERE- EVER NECESSARY TO PUT ON THE EVENT. ONE PROBLEM IS WITH PIPER AIRCRAFT WHO WILL GIVE ~ THE PLANE BUT WE HAVE TO PAY FOR INSURANCE, WHICH MR. PEPPER IS TRYING TO ARRANGE. ~E PRIZES TO BE GIVEN FOR A HOLE-IN-ONE ARE: PIPER WARRIOR, 21' BOAT WITH MOTOR AND TRAILER, A CAR, A CLUB CAR, A MOTORCYCLE. TOTAL RETAIL VALUE IN RANGE OF $100,000. AD WILL BE PLACED IN FLAG MAGAZINE. TOURNAMENT SET FOR MARCH 23-24. MR. RAWLEY ADVISED THAT APRIL 13~14 HAS BEEN SET~AS THE~.~I~TES FOR THE PRO-AM. TIM SMITH HAS VOLUNTEERED TO TAKE CARE OF THE LUNCHES FOR BOTH DAYS, COOKING, ETC. TICKETS WILL BE SOLD TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE COMMISSION HAS GIVEN PERMISSION TO EXTEND LIQUOR LICENSE TO OUTSIDE OF BUILDING AND SERVE ANYBOD.K. ON THE. GROUNDS FOR THE WEEKEND. ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO PARK THE OVER-FLOW OF CARS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE AIRPORT. THERE FOLLOWED A DISCUSSION ON COORDINATION OF TRAFFIC FLOW WHICH WILL BE CREATED BY THE AIR<SHOW AT THE AIRPORT THE END OF APRIL, AND ALSO TO SEE IF SOMETHING CAN BE SET,UP FOR THE GOLF COURSE TO MAKE SOME MONEY TOO. MR. VAN ANTWERP ADVISED THAT THE INSPECTOR GENERAL HAS GONE THROUGH THE STATE AND MADE A FINANCIAL STUDY OF AIRPORTS AND THE TOTAL VALUE PUT ON THE SEBASTIAN AIRPORT IS PRETTY CLOSE TO THE APPRAISED VALUE. ATTORNEY PALMER IS GOING TO WRITE TO THE FAA TO SEE IF THEY WILL ACCEPT THIS APRAISAL FROM ANOTHER FEDERAL AGENCY. IF WE HAVE ANOTHER APPRAISAL MADE WITH ALL THE IMPROVEMENTS, MR. VAN ANTWERP THINKS WE WOULD HAVE DIFFICULTY IN ESTABLISHING A TRUE RAW LAND VALUE. WHAT FAA WANTS IS AN APPRAISAL AND A DOLLAR,AMOUNT AND JUSTIFICATION FOR IN-KIND SERVICES - POLICE, FIRE, ADMINISTRATIVE. MR. VAN.-~.ANTWERP ADVISED THAT THE CITY IS TRYING TO OBTAIN A BONDING AGENT AND HE WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME SORT OF SECONDARY PLEDGE RATHER THAN A GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND.
