MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN ARTHUR TROWBRIDGE AT 4:00 P.M.
PRESENT: CHAIRMAN ARTHUR TROWBRiDGE, DAVID NISBET>.JOSEPH SISKA, DON LIVINGSTON,
CARROLL SIMES, DAN MELIA, LYNN WRIGHT, JOHN VAN ANTWERP, CITY ATTORNEY DANIEL
KiLBRIDE.
ABSENT: HARRY MORRIS.
MOTION BY MR. NISBET, SECONDED BY MR. LIVINGSTON, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE
MEETING OF JANUARY 26, 1984. CARRIED.
MOTION BY MR. LIVINGSTON, SECONDED BY MR. NISBET, TO ACCEPT THE FINANCIAL REPORT
FOR THE 4 MONTH PERIOD ENDED JANUARY 31, 1984. CARRIED.
CHAIRMAN TROWBRIDGE INTRODUCED MR. ROBERT YOUNG FROM THE STATE OFFICE OF TOBACCO
AND ALCOHOL. MR. YOUNG STATED THAT HISI~OFFICE IS..IN.VESTIGATING A~COMPLAINT RE-
CEIVED THAT NON-MEMBERS OF THE GOLF COURSE WERE BEING SERVED ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
HE EXPLA~,NED/THAT'THE"~GOLF!~COURSE-,IS.RESTRIC~ED AS TO WHOM THEY CAN SERVE DUE TO
THE FACT THAT $400. A YEAR IS-~PAID FOR THE LICENSE..AS A PRIVATE CLUB AND THE
LIQUOR BOARD HAS ACCEPTED THIS AND THE RULES AND REGULATIONS ON THAT BASIS. ONLY
MEMBERS CAN BE SERVED, BUT ANYONE PAYING GREENS FEES FOR ONE DAY MAY ALSO BE SERVED.
BONA.~FIDE'.MEMBERS-.MAY BRING GUESTS. WH~ CAN BE SERVED, BUT THE MEMBER MUST PAY.-
HE ADDED THAT WHENEVER A CHANGE IS MADE IN THE/RULES AND REGULATIONS, SUCH AS
RAISING GREENS FEES, IT SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO THEM FOR APPROVAL. IF THE BOARD
WANTS TO ESTABLISH ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIPS, THAT MUST BE APPROVED BY THE LIQUOR
BOARD. A COMITTEE CONSISTING OF MR. NISBET,~.MR. SISKA, AND MR. RAWLEY~WAS FORMED
TO LOOK INTO PROCEDURE FOR ESTABLISHING ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIPS. CHAIRMAN TROWBRIDGE
REMARKED THAT THE EMPLOYEES IN THE DINING ROOM HAVE BEEN INFORMED AGAIN, AS THEY
HAVE BEEN IN THE PAST, TO BE AWARE OF WHOM THEY SERVE.
ATTORNEY KILBRIDE RECOMMENDED THAT SINCE THE COURT HAD UPHELD THE BOARD'S AUTHORITY
TO DETERMINE IF A MEMBER HAD THE RIGHT TO USE ANY OF THE FACILITIES, THE FIVE PEOPLE
SUSPENDED BY ROGER HALL SHOULD NOW BE REINSTATED.
MOTION BY MR. SISKA, SECONDED BY MR. LIVINGSTON, THAT MR. AND MRS. McCARTHY, MR.
AND MRS. REARDON, AND MRS.. FIORELLA BE RE-INSTATED AND ALLOWED THE PRIVILEGES
OF THE 19TH HOLE.
ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES: MR. SISKA MR. NISBET MR. LIVINGSTON
MR. SIMES MR. MELIA CHAIRMAN TROWBRIDGE
NAYS: NONE. CARRIED.
THERE FOLLOWED A DISCUSSION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS AND SEVERAL CHANGES WERE MADE.
MOTION BY MR. LIVINGSTON, SECONDED BY MR. NISBET, THAT THE RULES AND REGULATIONS
BE ACCEPTED AS READ WITH THE AMENDMENTS AS OF THIS DATE. CARRIED..
