HARRY MORRIS, DANIEL MELIA, JOHN VAN ANTWERP. LYNN WRIGHT ARRIVED AT 7:28 P.M.
AND VOTED IN ABSENCE'OF DON LIVINGSTON WHO WAS EXCUSED BECAUSE DF_ILLNESS.

MOTION B~ MR. MORRIS, SECONDED BY MR. NISBET, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF MARCH 22, 1984. CARRIED.
MOTION BY MR. MELIA, SECONDED BY MR. WRIGHT, TO INSTALL THE DURA SPIKE CARPET GRASS
IN THE HALL AREA OF THE CLUB HOUSE FOR $889.02. CARRIED.
THERE FOLLOWED A DISCUSSI~)N ON THE LEASE' WITH THE~.AIRPORT WITH THE YEARLY RENTAL
ON A GRADUATING SCALE AS FOLLOWS:
7% annually for the first 5 gears
8% annually for the 6th thru 10th year
9~ annually for the llth thru 15th year
10~ annually for the 16th thru 20th year
11% annually for the 21st thru 25th year
12~ annually for the 26th thru 30th year
;3% annually for the 31st thru 35th year
14~ annually for the 36th thru 40th year

MR. VAN ANTWERP STATED THAT HE THOUGHT THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION WOULD
VERY. LIKELY APPROVE STARTING WITH THE 7% FIGURE. HE POINTED OUT THAT WHAT WE
ARE TRYING TO DO IS ARRIVE AT A FAIR MARKET VALUE. THIS MUST FIRST BE PRESENTED
TO THE COUNCIL FOR THEIR APPROVAL.
MOTION BY MR. MELIA, SECONDED BY MR. NiSBET, TO PRESENT ~FIGURES TO AIRPORT COMMITTEE
AS OUR PROPOSAL; IF THEY DON'T AGREE, WE WILL SEND TO COUNCIL OURSELVES. CARRIED.
MR. VAN ANTWERP EXPLAINED THAT THE AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD IS PRESSING FOR A SIGNED
LEASE. IT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PAYMENT.
THERE FOLLOWED A DISCUSSION ON SUMMER RATES WITH THE FOLLOWING RA~E$ BEING AGREED UPON:

WENT OVER. CARRIED.
MOTION BY MR. MELIA, SECONDED BY MR. MORRIS, TO OFFER GOLF CART MEMBERSHIPS AT
$500.00 PER PERSON FOR SIX MONTHS, MAY 1 NOVEMBER 1. CARRIED.
MOTION BY MR. MORRZS, SECONDED BY MR. NISBIT, TO RETAIN THE 10 TRADE-iN CARTS FOR
AN ADDITIONAL MONTH. CARRIED.
CHAIRMAN TROWBRIDGE AGREED TO CALL THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE COMMISSION TO SEE IF
HE COULD GET SOME REPLY TO MR. NISBET.!S LETTER REGARDING ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIPS.
IT WAS AGREED THAT A RUBBER STAMP SHOULD BE PURCHASED FOR IMPRINTING ON TICKETS,
WHEN THE OCCASION ARISES, "ALL CHILDREN UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE RESPONSIBILITY OF
DRIVER", AND HAVE IT SIGNED.
MR. WRIGHT AND MR. MELIA VOLUNTEERED TO WORK WITH CHAIRMAN TROWBRiDGE, MR. RAWLEY,
AND MR. KRAGES ON THE BUDGET. MR. MELIA SUGGESTED CONSIDERATION SHOULD BE GIVEN TO
MAKING CARTS MANDATORY DURING THE HIGH-PLAY SEASON.
CHAIRMAN TROWBRtDGE MENTIONED THAT $20,000. WAS BUDGETED FOR CART PATHS_.AND HE
WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOMETHING STARTED. IT WAS AGREED THAT THE FIRST STEP WAS TO
· GET A PRICE ON THE SQUARE FOOTAGE.IN THE. AREA OF THE IST AND 10TH TEE AND THE
CLUB HOUSE.
