MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN ARTHUR TROWBRIDGE AT 7:00 P.M.
PRESENT: CHAIRMAN ARTHUR TROWBRIDGE, VICE CHAIRMAN DON LIVINGSTON, HARRY
MORRIS, CARROLL SIMES, DAVID NISBET, DANIEL MELIA, CLAY PRICE, DONALD
VICKERS.
ABSENT: THOMAS LOUGHLIN (EXCUSED).
THE STATEMENT OF OPERATIONS FOR THE PERIOD ENDINGMARCH 31, 1983, WAS
DISCUSSED AT LENGTH. THE BOTTOM LINE SHOWS A $45,811.45 LOSS FOR THE
MONTH. THE ACTUAL OPERATING PROFIT WAS $14,,465.97, BUT INTEB~S~ P~YMENT
OF~ $60,2~7~.43,..DUE..,IN MARCH, IS SHOWN. EACH RAGE:~OF-THE STATEMENT WAS
DISCUSSED AND ~HE_~CONSENSUS OF OPINION WAS THAT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE
PRO SHOP AND_,THE FOOD AND..,BEVERAGE OPERATION THE OVER-ALL PICTURE IS GOOD.
HOWEVER, THE BUDGETED INCOME HAS NOT COME UP TO ANTICIPATION, AND FUTURE
EXPENDITURES WILL HAVE TO BE WATCHED CLOSELY. :MR. PRICE PROJECTED THAT
WE COULD PROBABLY:ANTICIPATE $9000. BY REDUCING THE PRO SHOP INVENTORY
TO $10,000; $10,000. IN MEMBERSHIP FEES; $15,000. BY FINANCING THE GOLF
CARTS PURCHASED; $13,333. OVERSTATEMENT OF INTEREST PAYABLE; $2000. FROM
TIFTON CONSTRUCTION. IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO GO TO EACH DEPARTMENT AND
DISCUSS WHERE CUTS CAN BE MADE, AND REPORT BACK AT THE NEXT MEETING.
CHAIRMAN TROWBRIDGE REPORTED THAT PLANS FOR THE PRO,AM ARE GOING WELL. 50
ENTRIES ARE ANTICIPATED, WHICH IS 20% BETTER THAN LAST YEAR. ALSO, MR.
KRAGES HAS LAID OFF ONE MAN IN HIS DEPARTMENT AND MRS. FIORILLA HAS BEEN
LET GO FROM THE PRO SHOP.
MR. MELIA fUGGESTED THAT THERE SHOULD BE A MEMBER-MEMBER TOURNAMENT'EACH
MONTH AND IT WAS AGREED THAT THIS IDEA WOULD BE WORKED ON.
VICE CHAIRMAN LIVINGSTON REPORTED THAT EVERYTHING IS IN READINESS FOR THE
PRO-AM WITH REGARD TO MARKERS, STAKES, .ROPES, ETC. ALSO, HE HAS BEEN CON-
TACTED BY A MEMBER WHO HAS VOLUNTEERED TD FURNISH THE MATERIAL AND MAKE THE
BENCHES ON THE TEES. ~LEONARD LOWE). BIDS WILL HAVE TO GO OUT FOR 4500
POUNDS OF INSECTICIDE FOR THE MOLE CRICKETS ~$6000.-7000.) AND FERTILIZER
($5000.-6000.) THE COURSE WILL HAVE TO BE CLOSED DOWN IN THE MORNING TO BE
FERTILIZED AND IT WAS AGREED THAT A NOTICE SHOULD BE PUT UP ABOUT A WEEK
BEFORE SO INFORMING EVERYONE. MR. VICKERS ADDED THAT THE COURSE IS IN
EXCELLENT SHAPE AND MR. KRAGES DE. SERVES A LOT OF CREDIT.
MR. NISBET REPORTED THAT THE HOURS OF THE OUTSIDE SHACK HAVE BEEN CUT ~
ABOUT 12. ALSO HAS CUT THE NUMBER OF WAITRESSES AND THE HOURS WORKED ON
THE INSIDE. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE PRO-AM - TWO SHIFTS STARTING IN THE
MORNING ON THE FIRST NINE AND THE BACK NINE AND STARTING AT 1:00 P.M.. WITH
THE SECOND GROUP OF 100.~

WITH REFERENCE TO THE TRAINING OF A CART MAN, MR. MORRIS ADVISED TH~ THE
TRAINING SESSION DOES NOT START UNTIL THE LATTER PART OF JUNE. IT WAS
AGREED THAT THIS MATTER NEEDS FURTHER DISCUSSION AND WILL BE BROUGHT UP
AT THE NEXT MEETING.
IN REPLY TO A QUESTION FROM MR. CHALOUX, CHAIRMAN TROWBRIDGE ADVISED THAT
MOST OF THE COMPLAINTS AND SUGGESTIONS ARISING FROM THE MEETING HELD RECENTLY
HAVE BEEN ACTED UPON AND A REPORT WILL BE TYPED UP,
MOTION BY MR. MELIA, SECONDED BY MR. NISBET, TO EXTEND THE MEETING FIVE
MINUTES. CARRIED.
IN REPLY TO A QUESTION FROM MR. PRICE, MAYOR FLOOD STATED THAT HE HAD NOT
YET LEARNED ANYTHING ABOUT THE LIQUOR. LICENSE, BUT WOULD GIVE IT ~Op
PRIORITY.
