Professional/Manager Sebastian Municipal Golf Course of Directors Meeting Thursday, April 29, 1982 Call to Order Mr. Dan Melia called the meeZing to order at 4:02 P.M. Roll Call Present at the meeting were Mr. Dan Melia, Mr. Harry Morris, Mr. Clay Price, Mr. Gordon Carlile, Mr. Carroll Simes, Mr. Don Vickers,. Mr. Ray Ladd, Mr. Don Livingston, and Mr. Arthur Trowbridge, Mr. Bill Roux was out of the city. Approval of Minutes 'Approval of the previous meeting's minutes was made by Mr. Arthur Trowbridge and seconded by Mr. Harry Morris. Committee Reports Golf Course .... Mr. Don Livingston reported that the Golf Course, specifically, the back nine, would be fertilized next week. That the cost would be approximately $2,300. After a discussion this matter was approved by the Board. Finance Committee....Mr~ Clay Price reported on the financial status of the Club. He indicated that currently the economics of the Club were favorable; however, we should be careful with our expenses as the income for the summer will certainly be very low. Pro-Am Committee....Mr. Harry Morris reported that the Pro-Am was proceeding or~ schedule and that everything was in order. Clubhouse .... Th~ subject of pricing merchandise in the Golf Shop was discussed at length. After much discussion it was the decision of the Board to operate the Golf Shop at a maximum margin of 40% and where possible to lower the. prices where they become as attractive as possi'oleo In short, to render the largest discount possible to all ¢oncez?~ed. This in an effort to at'tract traffic ~o~'~the Golf Course. Thus rendering us additional green fees-and- golf car revenue. Mayor'Pat Flood expressed his views on merchandising pertaining to the Golf Shop and all were in agreement that the prices in the Golf Shop should be lowered where possible. Mr. Arthur Trowbridge mentioned that the prices at the bar were too high and due to time this discussion was postponed until next week. Attorney's Requests and R~orts There were none. A motion by Mr. Harry Morris to extend the meeting 15 minutes was seconded by Mr. Clay Price. AdjOurnment The meeting was adjourned at 5,45 P.M. ReSpectfully submitted, Bay Ladd, Secretary -2-
