PRESENT: DAVID NISBET, JOHN VAN ANTWERP, GEORGE BERBER, LYNN WRIGHT, LLOYD RONDEAU, CHAIRMAN DON LIVINGSTON, RAY LADD. ALSO PRESENT: CAROL CARSWELL. MOTION BY MR. NISBET, SECONDED BY MR. VAN ANTWERP, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF APRIL 25. CARRIED. AFTER A DISCUSSION OF THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT, MR. WRIGHT LEFT THE ME~TING AT 4:33 P.M. MOTION BY MR. RONDEAU, SECONDED BY MR. NISBET, TO APPROVE THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT FOR THE PERIOD ENDING MARCH 31, 1985. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR. NISBET, SECONDED BY MR. VAN ANTWERP, TO AMEND THE ORDINANCE CHANGING THE GOLF COURSE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO AN ADVISORY BOARD TO INCLUDE A QUORUM OF 3 AND A TIME LIMIT OF 15 MINUTES WAITING PERIOD. CARRIED. MR. VAN ANTWERP ADVISED THAT THE CiTY COUNCIL HAS ENGAGED EARL WITHERBY TO MAKE AN APPRAISAL OF THE GOLF COURSE PROPERTY TO ESTABLISH A FAIR 'RENTAL RATE TO BE PAID TO THE AIRPORT AT A COST OF $1250~ WHICH WILL BE RAID FOR BY THE AIRPORT. ALSO THE FIRM OF ARCH, ROBERTS HAS BEEN HIRED BY THE COUNCIL TO WORK ON THE BOND ISSUE. MR. VAN ANTWERP WILL FIND OUT IN WHAT CAPACITY THEY ARE OPERATING AND SUGGESTED THAT THE BOARD~ SHOULD MEET WITH THEM AND ASSIST IN ANY WAY TO PUT TOGETHER THE PROPOSAL TO THE CITY. MOTION BY MR. BERBER, SECONDED BY MR. NISBET, THAT THIS BOARD APPOINT DON LIVINGSTON AS LIASION BETWEEN THE CITY, THE GOLF COURSE, THE AIRPORT BOARD, THE FAA AND THE BONDING COMPANY AS OUR REPRESENTATIVE TO KEEP US INFORMED OF THEIR MOVEMENTS OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS AS WE MOVE TOWARDS RE-FINANCING THE GOLF COURSE. CARRIED. MR. LADD STATED STARTING JUNE 1 HE WILL INCREASE THE CART FEE BY $1. MR. PEPPER REMARKED THAT AN ORGANIZATIONAL GROUP SHOULD BE FORMED TO WORK ON THE INDIAN RIVER OPEN AND FIRM UP THE DATE. MR. BERBER SUGGESTED BUTTING BENCHES,ON TEES AND SELLING THE BENCHES',FOR ADVERTISING. MR. LADD ADVISED THAT 10 BENCHES ARE NOW BEING~-.MADE AT A COST OF $15. EACH. MR. KRAGES WAS ASKED TO FIND OUT THE COST OF GETTING BENCHES WITH BACKS AND HOW MUCH WE WOULD HAVE TO SELL THEM FOR.
