McFALL OF THE TRUSTEE BANK IS GOING TO LOOK INTO CHANGING THIS RULING, BUT IT WOULD BE A LONG INVOLVED PROCESS. THIS RULING DOES NOT AFFECT THE AGREEMENTS MADE WITH WHISPERING PALMS OR THE MEMBERS OF THE GOLF COURSE. IT._'WAS AGREED THAT MRS. AS OF TODAY 256 HAVE SIGNED UP, LEAVES 144. HAVE 106 ON THE WAITING LIST. REVENUES FELL OFF WHEN THE TEMPORARY GREENS WERE IN OPERATION. MR. MELIA WAS OF THE OPINION THAT NEXT YEAR THEi'FEES SHOULD BE CUT IN HALF WHEN.THE GREENS ARE CLOSED. JUST THE"GREENS FEES, NOT THE CART FEES. MR. WILLEY HAS BEEN PLACED ON THE AGENDA FOR DECEMBER 16 TO DISCUSS SECURITY. THE GOLF COMMITTEE MET WITH MR. LADD AND IT WAS AGREED THAT WE ARE IN A "NO-BUY" SITUATION. INVENTORY WILL BE DRASTICALLY REDUCED. AN ADEQUATE SUPPLY OF GOLF BALLS, GLOVES, ETC., WILL BE MAINTAINED. SLACKS, BAGS, ETC. WILL BE ELIMINATED ALMOST. SETS OF GOLF CLUBS WILL NOT BE CARRIED. THIS WILL NOT EFFECT GIFT CERTIFICATES. THINGS CAN BE ORDERED QUICKLY. THIS WAS SATISFACTORY WITH THE BOARD. THE.3FOLLOWING QUOTE WAS RECEIVED FOR 10 GAS CARTS FROM E-Z GO: $2195. EACH. TERMS: $109. PER MONTH PER CART. AFTER 6 MONTHS PAY FOR THAT CART.S1720. $2195. LESS 6 TIMES $109. IS $654. TAKE THAT FROM $2195. COME UP WITH A NET~OF $1541. $1720. iS WITH INTEREST 0F.-$30. A MONTH. WE'RE ONLY GETTING CREDIT..FOR $~9~ APPLIED TO THE PURCHASE PRICE. THERE FOLLOWED A DISCUSSION ON WHETHER OR NOT 'TO PURCHASE. IT WAS POINTED OUT THAT WE DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY. GAS CARTS ARE ~BEING CONSIDERED BECAUSE THERE ARE NOT ADEQUATE FACILITIES TO RE-CHARGE THE ELECTRIC CARTS. MAYOR FLOOD ADVISED THAT THERE IS SOME CONTROVERSY AS TO WHETHER OR NOT ANY GOVERNMENT HAS. THE RIGHT TO LEASE-PURCHASE WITHOUT GOING TO BID. MR. MELIA WONDERED IF WE DID ENTER INTO A LEASE-PURCHASE AGREEMENT COULD WE AT THE END OF THE 6 MONTHS FINANCE THE $17,000. AND MAYOR_FLOOD WAS OF 'THE OPINION THAT THERE SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM IN FLOATING A LOAN. MR. LIVINGSTON REPORTED THATLHE, MR. VICKERS, AND MR. KRAGES INSP~'TED ALL 18 HOLES. STONES WILL BE PUT .IN THE CART PATHS WHERE REQUIRED AND SAND WILL BE PUT IN THE SWALES SO THAT GRASS CAN GROW THROUGHly. IT. THE CART PATHS HAVE FIRST PRIORITY. MR. TROWBRIDGE REMARKED THAT MR. THE HOT DOG STAND WAS CLOSED FOR A FEW DAYS BECAUSE BUSI- NESS WAS NOT THERE, BUT IT IS BACK IN OPERATION AND DOING WELL. IT WILL STAY OPEN AS LONG AS BUSINESS WARRANTS. THE SODA MACHINE IS GOING TO BE REMOVED. IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT CART MAINTENANCE BE PLACED ON THE NEXT AGENDA FOR DISCUSSION. ALSO, CARPET MAINTENANCE. WITH REFERENCE TO PAVING CART PATHS, MR. MELIA STATED THAT HE AND MR. MASTELLER LOOKED THEM OVER. MR. MASTELLER SENT A LETTER TO THE GOLF COURSE ARCHIRECT. MR. MASTELLER HAS BEEN BUSY AND NOTHING CAN BE DONE UNTIL HE FINDS TIME~'TO SPEC IT OUT. TROWBRIDGE, SECONDED BY MR. LIVINGSTON, TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR LEASE-PURCHASE OF 10 NEWf G~SOL~NEr.'CARTS,~..--.LiT'.~. . DURING COURSE OF DISCUSSION WHICH FOLLOWED MOTION, MR. PRICE"MAINTAINED THAT PURCHASING CARTS WOULD NOT MEAN MORE INCOME. IT JUST MEANS THAT THERE WILL BE NO LOSS OF INCOME. IF YOU'RE SAYING YOU'.RE GOING TO MAKE ADDITIONAL INCOME TO PAY FOR THE CARTS, THAT'S ONE THING, BUT WHEN YOU'RE SAYING YOU"RE GOING TO GET 10 CARTS SO YOU DON'T LOSE ANY. MORE MONEY, THAT'S COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. YOU'RE GOING TO LOSE MONEY AND YOU WON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR IT. MAYOR FLOOD STATED THAT IF THE COST OF THE CART IS $1700. AT THE END,lOFt?6 MONTHS, HE WILL PICK UP ONE OF THE CARTS AND TOU CAN REIMBURSE HIM OUT OF NEXT.'yEAR'S BUDGET. MAYBE CARROLL SIMES WILL TOO. IF YOU GET 8 MORE PEOPLE, CAN HANDLE THAT WAY. MOTION CARRIED. MR. MORRIS BROUGHT UP THE, FACT WE ARE ALLOWING ONE iNDiVIDUAL TO USE A CAR~T FOR HALF PRICE, WHICH SHOULD BE DISCONTINUED DURING BUSY TIMES. THIS MATTER WAS TABLED UNTIL THE NEXT'MEETING. MR. TROWBRIDGE STATED THAT.~iA'POLICY SHOULD BE.ESTABLISHED FOR THE SIGNING UP:OF NEW MEMBERS. MAYOR FLOOD REMARKED THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE BEING GIVEN PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT. FOR EXAMPLE, HOW DO YOU GET A "l-A"? ALSO, HOW CAN THE PRO GUARANTEE ANYBODY A MEMBERSHIP? IF YOU GO FROM 1 TO 100, HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY "A'S"? MR. ROUX AND MR. MORRIS, WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF MR. TROWBRIDGE, WILL LOOK INTO THIS MATTER. MOTION BY MR. LIVINGSTON, SECONDED BY MR. MORRIS, TO PERMIT MR. KRAGES AND.>MR. MALBERG TO ATTEND A SEMINAR IN TIFTON, GEORGIA, ON DECEMBER 13, ~4, 15. CARRIED. MEETING ADJOURNED AT 6:05 P.M. - 3 -
