MEETING
OCTOBER 11, 1995
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:10 p.m. by Wendy Widmann, ADA
Coordinator.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - June 7, 1995
The guest speaker, Carl Behr was put on the agenda first and the minutes, due
to time restraints, were not approved and were postponed until the next meeting.
3. OLD BUSINESS
Discussion postponed until the next Committee Meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Guest Speaker and enthusiast of Sebastian, Carl Behr, discussed his plan for the
Yacht Club and the handicapped renovations. Committee members had an extensive
discussion on the use of the club; how the City could make money off renting the
facility; future use of the facility; and possible expansion. The group concurred with
Mr. Behr's suggestion that the bathrooms need to be relocated and accepted his
recommendations as presented in his plan. Committee members also suggested
sprucing up the Yacht Club by haVing families "buy" a concrete picnic table to put
outside to increase the use of the building. Questions were raised concerning the
parking problem - lack of parking for users of the building and whether boaters could
use the CAV CORP property for parking. Also questioned was whether there was
spectic or sewer and how many people the building could hold. Wendy will find out
and report back to the group. All felt the building is too small and should be expanded
in order to pay for itself and suggestions were made about "merchandising" the facility
and the Community Center once the facilities are barrier free. There was also
discussion about relocating the boat ramp to the North Countyline (west side of Ronte
1) near the bridge into Brevard County.
5. ADJOURN
Several members had other meeting to go to, so the meeting was adjourned at
6:35 p.m. by a motion from Harry DiSalvio, seconded by George Schum.
