TRUSTEES OF THE SEBASTIAN POLICE OFFICERS'
TRUST FUND HELD TUESDAY, MAY 1, 1990
The meeting was called to order at 2:1'0 P.M. Present Were
Charles Reynolds, David Pusclher, Gene Ewert and Carol
Carswell. Gregory Gore arrived approximately ten minutes
1 ate.
David Puscher made a motion to approve the Minutes of
February 6~ February 26 and March I and the Special Meeting
of March 1, 1990. Motion was seconded by Gene Ewert.
Motion carried.
The Treasurer presented her report.
for audit.
The report was accepted
The discussion of money managers was set aside pending the
arrival of Gregory Gore.
Under" New Business, David Puscher brought up that he felt
the Trustees should put out a newsletter to members
discussing investments and other matters of interest to the
members. Everyone was in agreement that this would be a good
idea. Chairman Reynolds put Puscher in charge of the
newsletter.
Under" Old Business, Gregory Gore made a motion to retain
Investment Counsel Company to handle the investments of the
Retirement Trust Fund with Dean Witter as depository of funds
subject to determination of whether Trust Department of
Brokerage Firm is legal depository. David Puscher seconded
motion. Greg Gore will write to Marvin Clayton to ascertain
legality. The other item discussed was to make sure that Dean
Witter cannot use Sebastian Police Officers' Retirement Trust
securities as collateral in its own business. A vote was
taken and the motion was unanimously approved.
Unden Trustee matters Chairman Reynolds stated that there
was a seminar at the end of June for Florida Publ ic Pension
Trustees Association to be held in Key West. Gene Ewert
made a motion that the Trustees al low up to two people to
attend the FPPTA summer conference if, after looking over
the curriculum, it would be advantageous. Greg Gore_ seconded
the motion. Motion car~ried.
There being no further business~ the meeting adjourned at
2:55 P.M.
