POLICE OFFICERS' RETIREMENT TRUST
FUND HELD THURSDAY, AUSUST 9, 1990
The meeting was called to order at 9:35 by Vice Chairman
Gene Ewert. Present were Gene Ewert, Gregory Gore and
Carol Carswell.
Vice Chairman Ewert introduced the guest, Chief Earle Petty.
Gregory Gore made a motion to approve the Minutes of the
May 1 meeting. Motion was seconded by Carol Carswell.
Motion carried.
The Treasurer's report was accepted for audit.
With the approval of the Board, new business was moved up
before old business.
The next order of business was to fill the vacancy left by
the departure of Charles Reynolds. Carol Carswell nominated
Earle Petty. Nomination was seconded by Gregory Gore.
Election was unanimous, including David Puscher who was on
vacation but had left his Proxy to vote for Earle Petty.
A new Chairman was needed and Earle Petty nominated Gregory
Gore. The nomination was seconded by Carol Carswell.
Nominations was closed and Gregory 8ore was elected Chairman.
Under Old Business there ensued a discussion of money
managers. Chairman Gore stated that his interpretation of
the statute was that Dean Witter Trust was an eligible
Custodian of the Fund's money. Gene Ewert made a motion
to invite representatives from Investment Counsel Company
and Dean Witter to attend a meeting as soon as possible.
Motion seconded by Carol Carswell. Motion carried.
Trustee Matters
Carol Carswell - State insurance money should be received
in a couple of weeks. Advised that the amount that Sebastian
will receive is $12,553.25.
Discussed Plan Summary and asked that Trustees make comments.
Gene Ewert - Dave Puscher did a very good job with his
letter to members and should continue.
There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 10:05.
