March 8, 1999 7:00 PM Minutes
Chriis MacCarthy called the meeting to order in the absence of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman at 7:15
PM.
Roll Call: the following members were present: Chris Sorrentino, Jean Rego, Susan Bishop, and their
families. Ken Stevens, Elizabeth Stevens, Rick Sorrentino, Nathan Palmer Debbie Corbett and Tom Cecrle
were absent. Staff members present were Linda Kinehen, Recording Secretary, Chris McCarthy, Parks and
Recreation Supervisor
Since there were not enough people for a quorum, the committee was advised that he could watch a video
supplied by Mrs. Sorrentino, however, no action could be taken at the meeting. During the showing of the
video, Ken Stevens, Chairman and Elizabeth Stevens arrived. The committee felt the video was very
informative and gave some good funding ideas. Ken Stevens read from some papers received from the
interact. Chris asked all the members to list there names and addresses on a sheet of paper.
Mrs. Bishop asked Chris McCarthy if he knew the size of the property which would be available. The
committee agreed that the area behind the police station should be formally requested through City
Council.
Input from the Public - Mr. Bishop stated that since getting grants take a long time to be approved we
should apply now so that funding can be set aside when we are ready to expand.

The next meeting was scheduled for April 12, 1999 at 7:00 PM
Meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM.
