LINDA KINCHEN ASKED IF ANYONE HAD CHANGES TO MAKE ON THE CONTRACT.
THERE WAS SOME DISCUSSION AS TO WHAT ~ RECREATION COORDINATOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES
WERE AS TO TURNING ON AND OFF LIGHIM AT GAMES AND PRACTICES, IT WAS DECIDED THAT
HE/SHE WiLL BE AT GAMES AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE THAT SOMEONE TURNS
TH~M ON AND OFF AT PRACTICES.
ON FIRST PAGE OF THE CONTRACT, PARAGRAPH TWO, ~ SENTENCE "TROY COX SHALL
NOT BE UNDER THE DIRECT CONTROL OR: SUPERVISION OF ANY EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY
OF SEBASTIAN" WiLL BE TAKEN OUT. AT THE END .OF ~HE SAME PARAGRAPH "PARKS AND

GEORGE SCHUM ANNOUNCED THAT HE HAD BEEN' TOLD THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET A GRANT
TO PURCHASE DR. FISCHER'S LOT OR A PORTiON OF iT FOR PARKING BOAT TRAILERS
NEAR ~THE YACHT CLUB AND THAT HE WAS IN ~THE PROCESS OF PURSUING THE MATTER.
LINDA KiNCHEN ASKED GEORGE S(~-IUM WHAT HE HAD FOIOND OUT ABOUT THE CMARGING
OF A STICKER FEE FOR BOAT ~%RAILER PARKING AT ~ YACHT CLUB. HE SAID THAT IT
WAS ALLOWED AND IT WOULD BE COUNTYWIDE BUT~ TMAT PEOPLE OUTSIDE ~ COUNTY
WISHING TO PURCHASE A STICKER COULD' BE CHARGED A HIGHER .FEE..

ACTING RECREATION COORDINATOR EUGENE DOTY ANNOUNCED THAT. WOM~'S SOFIBAiL
WAS OVER FOR THE SEASON, MEN'S WOULD E~N-D ON MAY 14TH. HE ALSO ANNOUNCED
THAT OUT OF $300 SLATED FOR TROPHIES HE WAS ~ABLE TO PURCHASE TH~ FOR $192.
HE ANNOUNCED THAT THERE WOULD BE AN ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING FOR WOMEN'S SUMMER
SOFBALL ON THURSDAY, MAY 8, 1986 AT 7:00 P.M. IN ~ CITY .COUNCIL CHAMBER.
HE 'FELT IT WAS POSSIBLE THAT ANOTHER FIELD MIGHT BE NEEDED SINCE SEVEN OR
EIGHT TEAMS HAD ALREADY. SHOWN AN'INTEREST. HE WONDERED THAT IF LITILE LEAGUE

COUNTY IS OUST ABOUT DONE WITH THEIR SEASON AND TRY A SIGN UP AGAIN.
HE ALSO MENTIONED %¥IAT HE THOUGHT THE VO~ EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE. STORED.
DAVID UNDERILL ASKED WHEN JOGGING TRAIL WAS GOING TO BE DONE. LINDA KINCHEN
TOLD HIM THAT THE CITY'S EQUIPMENT WOULD NOT MAKE THE SHARP :TURNS THAT HAD

THE ADJUSTMENT OF LIGHTS AT BARBER .AND SCH~ FIELDS.

GEORGE SCHUM DISCUSSED CONCRETE POSTS IN THE PARKING lOT ON INDIAN RIVER DRIVE
AND MAIN STREET. PEOPLE HAVE' COMPLAI~ ABOUT .GEITING STUCK. IN IHE lOT IF
ANOTHER VEHICLE iS BLOCKING %/-IE EXIT. HE FELT IF THE POSTS ARE R~D THERE
WOULD BE EASIER EGRESS.
IT WAS THOUGHT BY OTHER MEMBERS OF THE CO~TI~ THAT THE POSTS HAD A PURPOSE
FOR BEING THERE, I.E., PROTECTION OF THE DRAINAGE SWALE.

FEASIBILITY OFREMOVING THE CONCRETE POSTS.

SIDE OF CANDY CANE PARK HAS NEVER BEEN SODDED. IT WAS DECIDED TO'SEND A LETTER
TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND ASK. THAT THIS BE DONE..
