MOTION BY GEORGE SCHUM, SECONDED BY CLIFF HOOSE TO APPROVE THE
MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 28, 1986, MINUTES.

COUNTY REPRESENTATIVES REPORT
GEORGE SCHUM SAID AL PELTIER HAD GOTTEN PRICES FOR THE BOAT RAMP
REPAIR AND WERE APPROXIATELY $8000.00. HE SAID A MARINE ENGINEER
CONTACTED BY TOMMY THOMAS WAS LOOKING INTO THE MATTER AND WOULD
DECIDE WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.
NORTH CQUNTY REPRESENTATIVES REPORT
NONE.
RECREATION CQQRDINATQRS REPORT
GENE DOTY SAID THERE HAVE BEEN PROBLEMS WITH ADVERTISING FOR
LEAGUES IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPERS. DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ON PAYING
FOR ADVERTISEMENT AND PUTTING FLIERS IN SCHOOLS. GEORGE SCHUM
SUGGESTED WRITING OR MEETING WITH MR. SCHUMANN, OWNER PUBLISHER
OF THE PRESS JOURNAL.
GENE DOTY SAID WOMEN'S LEAGUE ENDS THE FOLLOWING NIGHT.
ClfAIRPERSON KINCHEN REQUESTED THAT ADVERTISEMENT BE'PLACED IN THE 1
PRESS JOURNAL FOR YOUTH SOFTBALL LEAGUE SIGN UP AT CITY HALL AND
THAT PLAY BEGIN AFTER JANUARY_.1, 1987.
GENE DOTY SAID THE WATER MAIN AT BARBER STREET BALLFIELD IS
BROKEN. HE ALSO SAID THE ADVERTISEMENT SIGNS AT THE FIELD WOULD
GO UP IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS AND THAT HE WOULD LIKE THE CONCESSION
STAND PAINTED WHITE. HE SAID THE ELECTRICAL WORK ON THE
TRANSFORMER AT THE FIELD WAS DONE WITH THE PRICE OF A SIGN ON THE
FENCE.

CHAIRPERSON KINCHEN SAID HOWARD CARSWELL HAD WITHDRAWN HIS LETTER
REQUESTING A LEAVE OF ABSENCE AND THAT HE WOULD LIKE THE
ALTERNATE POSITION.
MOTION BY IRENE TRAFICANTE, SECONDED BY DAVID UNDERILL, TO MAKE
HOWARD CARSWELL THE ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION
COMMITTEE.
ALL AYES: MOTION CARRIED
CLIFF HOOSE REQUESTED THAT LETTERS BE SENT TO ALL OTHER
APPLICANTS NOT CHOSEN.
COMMITTEE MATTERS
DAVID UNDERILL SAID THE FITNESS TRAIL WAS STILL IN THE WORKS AND
THAT MAYOR HARRIS HAD PLACED HECTOR FRANCO IN CHARGE OF ITS
COMPLETION.
MUM MATTERS
NONE.
NEW BUSINESS
CLIFF HOOSE REQUESTED A MONTHLY PARKS AND RECREATION FINANCIAL
STATEMENT. CHAIRPERSON KINCHEN REQUESTED THAT THE SECRETARY
OBTAIN THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT AND INCLUDE IT WITH THE AGENDA
PACKET EACH MONTH.
MOTION BY GEORGE SCHUM, SECONDED BY CLIFF HOOSE, TO ADJOURN THE
MEETING.
CHAIRPERSON KINCHEN ADJOURNED THE MEETING AT 7:45 P.M.
