ABOVE MATTERS, HE/SHE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS AND
FOR SUCH PURPOSES, HE/SHE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM
RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE
TESTIMONY IN EVIDENCE ON WHICH THE APPEAL IS BASED.

NATE MCCOLLUM LED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
NATE MCCOLLUM ASKED TO BE CONSIDERED EXCUSED FROM THAT MEETING.
MOTION BY GEORGE SCHUM, SECONDED BY CLIFF HOOSE, TO APPROVE THE
MINUTES AS TYPED.
NONE.

GENE DOTY SAID ADULT SOFTBALL WOULD BEGIN IN JANUARY AND YOUTH
SOFTBALL SIGNUP WOULD BEGIN ONE MONTH BEFORE LITTLE LEAGUE ENDS.
GENE DOTY SAID THE UMPIRE'S ASSOCIATION FIXED THE WATER AT
BARBER STREET FIELD.

CHAIRPERSON KINCHEN ANNOUNCED THE CHRISTMAS PARADE ON DECEMBER
13, 1986 AT 6:30 P.M. AND THE CANCELLATION OF THE REGULAR
DECEMBER MEETING.
WHEN QUESTIONED BY CLIFF HOOSE, CHAIRPERSON KINCHEN STATED THAT
THE PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT HAD ARRIVED AND WOULD BE INSTALLED
BEFORE THE NEW SOFTBALL SEASON.
DAVID UNDERILL DISCUSSED THE
KILOMETER RUN IN SEBASTIAN.
POSSIBILITY OF A FIVE OR TEN
CLIFF HOOSE QUESTIONED MARY DE CHAINE'S ABSENCES. IT WAS
DETERMINED THAT SHE WAS ON DUTY AT THE AMBULANCE SQUAD.
NONE.
DISCUSSION TOOK PLACE ON WHETHER OR NOT THE LITTLE LEAGUE HAVE
VIOLATED THEIR LEASE AND IF THE LEASE APPROVED BY COUNCIL IS THE
ONE THAT PARKS AND RECOMMENDATION RECOMMENDED TO THEM FOR
APPROVAL.
HOWARD CARSWELL HAD A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL LEASE APPROVED BY THE
PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE.
MOTION BY HOWARD CARSWELL, SECONDED BY GENE DOTY, TO INSTRUCT
SECRETARY TO PHOTOCOPY THIS ORIGINAL DRAFT FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE
PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE.
ROLL CALL VOTE:

MOTION BY CLIFF HOOSE, SECONDED BY HOWARD CARSWELL, TO SEND A
LETTER TO THE CITY ATTORNEY AND SAY THAT ARISING FROM AN
INVESTIGATION OF POSSIBLE VIOLATIONS OF THE LITTLE LEAGUE LEASE
BY THE LITTLE LEAGUE ASSOCIATION, THE PARKS AND RECREATION
COMMITTEE WISHES TO ADVISE HIM OF POSSIBLE DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN
THE ORIGINAL DFAFT OF LEASE APPROVED BY PARKS AND RECREATION AND
SIGNED LEASE APPROVED BY COUNCIL AND IF SO QUESTION WHAT RECOURSE
THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE HAS.

ROLL CALL VOTE:
AYES: ALL
LINDA KINCHEN UPDATED THE COMMITTEE ON THE CURRENT STATUS OF THE
BOAT RAMP REPAIR. SHE STATED THAT THE CITY ENGINEER SAID THE
REPAIR WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $18,000.00. GEORGE SCHUM SAID HE
WOULD REQUEST THAT THE RAMP REPAIR BE ON THE JANUARY 1987 COUNTY
AGENDA.
GEORGE SCHUM SAID THE COUNTY ENGINEER COULD NOT GUARANTEE THE
REPAIR WHEN ORIGINALLY ESTIMATED AT $8000.00 AND THE COUNTY MAY
HAVE TO HIRE A MARINE ENGINEER TO LOOK INTO IT.
CLIFF HOOSE REQUESTED A BREAKDOWN OF REVENUES FOR THE PARKS AND
RECREATION COMMITTEE.
GEORGE SCHUM REQUESTED A PLENTIFUL SUPPLY OF CANDY FOR THE
PARADE.
HOWARD CARSWELL SAID TO HIS KNOWLEDGE, THE COUNTY DOES NOT HAVE A
MARINE ENGINEER. HE SAID THAT THE REPAIR COULD HAVE BEEN DONE
MONTHS AGO BY A MAN HE HAD TO DO THE JOB BUT THE CiTY WAITED TOO
LONG.
DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ON DIFFERENT WAYS TO REPAIR THE RAMP. GEORGE
SCHUM SAID HE WOULD KEEP AFTER THE COUNTY TO HAVE THE REPAIR
DONE.
MOTION BY GEORGE SCHUM, SECONDED BY HOWARD CARSWELL TO ADJOURN.
