Recreation Advisory Committee
January 18, 1999 7:00 PM Minutes
Chairman Richter called the meeting to Order.
Roll Call:
the following members were present:
Maura Raborn - Sebastian Panthers, Inc. absent excused
Virginia Nichols - Friendly Tennis Group
Marjorie Schaub - Sebastian River Art Club,
Nancy Diamond - Indian River County Parks and Recreation Liaison
Carol McConnell - Citizen-at-Large,
Larry Vickers, Alternate - absent excused
Robert Bates - Craft Club of Sebastian, absent
Clifford Moss, Sebastian Old Boys
Cory Richter - Sebastian Soccer Association, Inc,
Randy Snyder - Sebastian River Area Little League, Inc., absent
Nancy Pfister - Alternate voting for Mrs Raborn
Staff members present were Linda Kinchen, Recording Secretary, Chris McCarthy, Parks and Recreation
Supervisor and Martha Campbell, City Engineer.
Approval of Minutes December 21, 1998 - Motion to approve as written by Ms Diamond second Mrs.
McConnell passed unanimously.
Old Business: None
New Business: BSSC Site Plan Approval Discussion - Martha Campbell, City Engineer gives a brief
synopsis of the status and why the site plan needs to be approved by the board
A motion to approve the site plan as presented was made by Ms. Diamond second Mrs. Schaub, passed
unanimously.
Discussion regarding the joint Parks and Recreation meeting on February 4th at 10:00 AM Chairman
Richter stated that the more members who can attend the better for Sebastian. Ms. Diamond stated they
usually last about 45 minutes.
Input from the Public - None
Members Comments - Mr. Moss stated that the Old Boys wanted him to ask if foul lines could be painted
on the fields. Mr. McCarthy stated he saw no problem with that and he would take care of it.
Staff Comments - None
A motion to adjourn at 7:15 PM was made by Ms. Diamond second Mrs. Schaub passed unanimously
