Recreation Advisory Committee
February 22, 1999 7:00 PM Minutes
Secretary calls the meeting to order in the absence of the Chairman and Vice Chairman and states that Mrs.
Schaub has agreed to chair the meeting. Mrs. Schaub takes over and asks for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: the following members were present:
Maura Rabom - Sebastian Panthers, Inc. absent
Virginia Nichols - Friendly Tennis Group,
Marjorie Schaub - Sebastian River Art Club,
Nancy Diamond - Indian River County Parks and Recreation Liaison absent excused
Carol McConnell - Citizen-at-Large,
Larry Vickers, Alternate absent
Robert Bates - Craft Club of Sebastian,
Clifford Moss, Sebastian Old Boys
Cory Richter - Sebastian Soccer Association, Inc, absent excused
Vacant - Sebastian River Area Little League, Inc.,
Nancy Pfister - Alternate - absent
Staff members present were Linda Kinchen, Recording Secretary, Chris McCarthy, Parks and Recreation
Supervisor
Approval of Minutes January 18, 1999 - Motion to approve as written by Mrs McConnell, second Mr.
Moss passed unanimously.
Old Business: None
New Business: BSSC Pavilion Approval - Chris McCarthy states City would like to use the in-house
drawing for this item and not a prefabricated shelter. Mrs. Schaub asks if they will be using steel or wood
for the beams. Chris states pressure treated wood will be used - steel rusts out.
A motion to approve that the City use the in-house drawing as the pavilion for the Bssc sports complex
south project was made by Mr. Bates, second Mrs. McConnell, passed unanimously.

A motion to adjoum at 7:08 PM was made by Mrs. McConnell second Mr. Bates passed unanimously
Approved March 22, 1999 unanimously.
