Old Business: Skateboard Park Locations A) BSSC - Barber Street Sports Complex South
B) Behind the Police Department
C) Hardee Park
Mr. McCarthy stated that the best place for the parks would be Barber Street Sports Complex. The
committee concurred however, parking was the only concern. Mr. Vickers asked if there would be enough
parking when soccer is in session and what the priority would be for the construction of the facility as far
as the grant is concerned. Chris McCarthy stated that all the proposed recreational items would be
constructed together with the grant money and should be finished at the same time. Mr. Vickers asked
whether the City intended to build the skateboard facility or an outside company. Chairman Richter stated
it would be an outside company since liability to the City would be too great otherwise. A motion to have
the City pursue getting RFP's from outside companies to build a skateboard facility at the Barber Street
Sports Complex South was made by Mr. Richter second Ms. Diamond passed unanimously.
