The Tree Advisory Board of the City of Sebastian, Indian River County, Florida,
will hold thier regular meeting on Monday, July 7, 1997, in the City Council
Chambers at 5:30 p.m.

1. Interview applicants for alternate member pOsition, to recommend to City
Council.
2. Select a Chairman and Vice-chairman of the board.
3. Discuss Community Urban Forest - John Ahnada.
4. Discuss preparations for review of Tree Protection Ordinance, Sot date for
workshop meeting. (Ordinances on hand from other cities: Indian River
County, Indian River Shores, Titusville~ Brevard County. Also, the sample Tree
Ordinance from Tree City USA Program Guidelines, ps. 5 & on). Discuss
sending away for copy of Dade County's Landscape Ordinance - ($3.00) &
Landscape Manual - ($12.00).
OLD BUSINESS:
Review Native Tree List (shor~ version) - select format for distribution to local
nurseries and new residents, to recommend to city council for their approval.

Mr. Massarelli notod that tho 1997-98 budget has already been submitted, including all seminars to
be aUnnd~ so this Board would be looking at the 1998-99 budget for approval for oerfifioation of
an arborist. The membe~agroed that it should be put on tl~ list.
STAFF MATTERS:
Chris McCarthy mcationed the area that wa.s planted with donated plants at th~ Barber Stn~
Sports Complex.
