Sealed bids will be received at the Purchasing Department, 2300 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34982, until 3:30 P.M. local time on WEDNES-DAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2017, for the following: BID No. 17-057 TURNPIKE FEEDER ROAD/U.S. #1 WATER MAIN EXTEN-SION AND INDRIO ROAD WATER MAIN EXTENSION
DESCRIPTION:This project proposes to con-struct approximately 27,390 LF of 12” water main and 90 LF of 6” water main along Turnpike Feeder Road, US Highway #1, and Indrio Road in St. Lucie County, Florida. The 12” and 6” water mains will include Fire Hydrants, Gate Valves, and all other appurtenances necessary for the construc-tion of this project.
The construction shall consist of but not limited to utilities exploration, coordination with an y permitting agencies, temporary jumpers, pre-con-struction video recording, trenching, dewatering, instal-lation of pipe with fittings and all appurtenances, restrain-ers, soil compaction, traffic control, all required testing, restoration, sod, paved drive restoration, non-paved drive restoration, erosion control, survey stakeout, as-built plans, and all else necessary and incidental thereto.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID CON-FERENCE will be held at the Lucie County Administration Building, Utility Services Department, on the First Floor, Utilities conference room located at 2300 Virginia Avenue, Ft. Pierce, Florida, on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Only contractors attending the mandatory pre-bid conference will be permit-ted to bid this project.
All Bidders are required to submit a five percent (5%) Bid Bond with the Bid Form or their bid shall be rejected as non-responsive. A one hun-dred percent (100%) Public Construction Bond is required upon notification of St. Lucie County’s intention to award the contract to the apparent successful bidder.
Bid documents may be obtained via the Internet by using the County’s website www.stlucieco.org. If you do not have Internet access, you may obtain the documents by contacting the Office of the Purchasing Department at 2300 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida, 34982, (772) 462-1700.
