Chairman Hill called the CRA meeting to order at 6:28 p.m. Present: Chairman Hill Vice Chairperson Kinchen Mr. Dodd Mr. lovino Mr. McPartlan B. A MOTION by made by Mr. McPartlan and SECOND by Mr. Dodd to approve the September 27, 2017 CRA Meeting minutes which passed with a voice vote of 5-0. C. Approve Seotic-to-Sewer Proaram Grant —1016 Indian River Drive (Transmittal. Application. Quote. Receipts. Deed) The Community Development Manager explained this is a prime property to receive the grant since it is so close to the lagoon and requested approval with the condition that the City receives a more itemized quote from the plumber before the permit is approved. MOTION by Mr. McPartlan and SECOND by Mayor Hill to approve the sewer grant with the condition to Ms. Terranova's property at 1016 Indian River Drive. ROLL CALL: Mr. Dodd - aye Chairman Hill - aye Mr. lovino - aye Vice Chairperson Kinchen - aye Mr. McPartlan - aye Motion carried 5-0. D. Chairman Hill adjourned the CRA meeting at 6:30 p.m 10. ADJOURN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEETING AND RECONVENE AS CITY COUNCIL Mayor Hill reconvened the City Council meeting and all members were present. 11. Interview, Unless, Waived, Submit Nominations for One Expired, Regular Member Position The City Clerk announced both alternate members were interested in becoming a regular member and they were present to interview. Mr. Dodd nominated Mr. Simmons. Mayor Hill nominated Mr. Hughan. ROLL CALL: Mayor Hill — Hughan Mr. lovino — Hughan Vice Mayor Kinchen — Hughan Mr. McPartlan — Hughan Mr. Dodd - Simmons Mr. Hughan was appointed to the regular member position to expire November 1, 2020. m SE HOME OF PELICAN ISLAND COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TRANSMITTAL FORM CRA MEETING DATE: 13 December 2017 AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Fagade, Sign & Landscaping (FSL) Grant RECOMMENDATION: Review the grant application and consider. BACKGROUND: In accordance with the Fagade, Sign, and Landscaping program, eligible signage and landscaping improvements may be considered for 50% of the costs, up to $7,500. Eligible exterior fagade improvements (including signage and landscaping) may also be considered for 50% of the costs, up to $15,000. Pareidolia Enterprises, LLC dba Pareidolia Brewing Co. located at 712 Cleveland Street, has applied for a FSL grant to install a new wall sign with the Pareidolia Brewing Company logo. Section 2 - Eligible Improvements, of the FSL Grant Application, lists "New signs as part of an overall improvement program for an existing improved property and removal of existing non -conforming and blighted signs" as an approvable project. Pareidolia Brewery recently relocated to this property, which included interior renovations and an upgrade to the parking and landscaping. They have submitted three quotes for the cost of the sign and installation, none which exceed $2,500. Although no non -conforming or blighted items are being replaced, consideration should be given that new signage is being proposed that will refresh and update the site. If approved, award Pareidolia Brewing Company @ 712 Cleveland Street, 50% of the costs, up to $2,500, for sign re -facing as shown on the engineered drawing signed and sealed by John J. Orlando, License No. 0044089.
