Call to Order — Chairwoman Carbano called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. 2. Pledae of Allegiance was recited by all. 3. Roll Call Present Ms. Jean Carbano Mr. James Fortier Mr. Andrew Manero Mr. Shawn Hosey Mr. Jock Crockett Also Present Mr. Wayne Eseltine, Building Official Ms. Cynthia Hall, Interim City Attorney Ms. Susan Mann, Recording Consultant 4. Approval of Minutes Regular Meeting June 27, 2017 Ms. Carbano called for additions, deletions or corrections to the minutes. A motion to approve the June 27, 2017 minutes as presented was made by Mr. Crockett, seconded by Ms. Carbano and passed unanimously by voice vote. 5. Announcements — None 6. Old Business — None 7. New Business Quasi -Judicial Hearing Appeal of decision by City of Sebastian Building Official to revoke Electrical Permit No. 17-002478. Appeal filed by Karl Czaplicki applicant for an Owner/Builder Permit for work at 110 Ablett Terrace in Sebastian, FL. Disciplinary proceeding for unlicensed contractor activity against Karl Czaplicki. Sebastian Construction Board Page 2 Minutes of Regular Meeting of October 24, 2017 Mr. Eseltine explained that the matter before the Board is an appeal of the decision to revoke an Electrical Permit issued to Mr. Karl Czaplicki for work at 110 Ablett Terrace in Sebastian. He stated that Mr. Czaplicki has requested the opportunity to address the Board prior to proceeding with the Appeal. Ms. Carbano swore in both Mr. Czaplicki and Mr. Eseltine. Mr. Czaplicki stated his name and address for the record. He stated that he wishes to rescind his appeal of the revocation of Electrical Permit # 17-002478. He provided a written statement (copy attached). Mr. Eseltine clarified that the result of this evening's meeting is that Mr. Czaplicki rescinded his appeal, but the revocation of the permit stands. He explained that other issues, at the same property, were the subject of a Special Magistrates Meeting earlier and as a result Mr. Czaplicki accepted the fact that it is necessaryfora licensed electrician secure the necessary permits and perform the work. He provided details on the issues addressed at that meeting and the outcome. 9. Buildincl Official Matters — None 10. Board Matters — None 11. Attorney Matters — None 12. Fifteen (15) Minutes to the Public — None 13. Adiourn Chairwoman Carbano called for any further business, hearing none she adjourned the meeting at 6:12 pm. ." do
