Revisions to the Land Development Code:
1. REVIEW OF ARTICLE XVI — SIGNAGE AND ADVERTISING
Sect. 20A-3.16.3:
Page 1 — Discussion on "Directional Signs" and "Off -Site Billboard Signs" under
A.2. It was suggested to insert language on this issue from page 1028 in the
previous LDC. Tracy & Jan noted that this section on Directional, Instructional, &
Off -premise signs will be reviewed again.
Page 2, Item 14. — Add sentence at end — "Off-site garage sale signs are
prohibited."
Page 3, Item 3. — There was discussion on American & y Fla s ersus
banners of a different type.

Page 8. — Discussion on timing for political signs. Suggested that Atty.
Stringer check this item.
Page 9. — Typo under item g. — Prima facie.
Page 10. — Discussion on Billboard signs, item G. Jan noted that this definition in
the Glossary needs to be reviewed for placement. It was also suggested to add
the phrase —"...regardless of size." After City of Sebastian.
- Second sentence, insert "...except in the Riverfront District"
after `City -owned right of -way...'.
- Insert the word "individually" before the phrase "approved by the
City Council.", on the second line.
Page 12. — Insert the word "habitable" before the word "building" in the second
line.
2. REVIEW OF ARTICLE XVII — NUISANCE ABATEMENT
Page 1 — Last paragraph under B.1. — insert "of an application" after the word
denial on the first line.
Page 2 — Item 4. — Change all references to the Planning and Growth
Management Director to Building Director. It was explained that the Building
Official and Building Director are one and the same person. The last word of this
paragraph should be changed from "Board" to "Division".
Page 3. — Item C. — In first sentence, first line, insert "designed to prevent
the..." after the words "... installed on the site shall be... ".
Page 6 — Discussion on acquisition of a dB(A) meter for measuring sound.
Tracy Hass noted that this Committee shall meet again on Wednesday, February
21 2000 at 2 p.m.
