HomeMy WebLinkAbout02161984 PZMINUTES - Planning and Zoning February 16, 1984 ~egularmeeting of the Planning an~ Zoning Committee called to order at 7~40 P.M. in the Mayor's Conference Room by Chairman Gene Harris. Members present were Chairman Harris, Vice-Chairman Harold Eisenbarth, Members Joe Stephenson, Bill Mahoney, and Randy Mosby. Absent were Marjorie Jesse Brock, and Alternate Tom Karr. City Engineer Earl Masteller was also present. Minutes of the February 2, 1984 meeting were read. Motion to approve as read by Randy Mosby, seconded by Joe Stephenson, motion carried. The first item was the Copp property. Earl Masteller read his memo concerning this plan, as well as referred to letter from Jim Davis, County Engineer, concerning egress/ingress to S.R.#512. The ownership question of the last review of the plan has been covered with a note on the plan. The drainage and retention areas may be within the 60 foot setback. Motion by Joe Stephenson, seconded by Randy Mosby that the Copp plan for a used car lot building be approved contingent upon Health Department approval of the well and septic tank and County approval of the egress/ingress plan. Motion carried unanimously. A letter was read concerning Design Concepts, a construction company working out of Port St. Lucie. They were asking for approval of a model home plan. Since they did not have everything needed with their application, no action was taken. Occupational licence applications were read and the following action taken: Ken Conners - motion made for approval by Harold Eisenbarth, seconded by Joe Stepthenson, carried, with Rand~ Mosby casting dissenting vote. Continental Construction (Hugo Loseke) - Randy Mosby made the motion for approval, seconded by Bill Mahoney, motion carried. Gaffney Construction - Randy Mosby made the motion for approval, Harold Eisenbarth seconded, motion carried. Olsson Tree service - Randy Mosby made the motion for approval, Bill Mahoney seconded, motion carried. Sun Coat (Bruce Ferguson)- applicant postponed request. L.M. Services (Lynn Myers) - This application was a little more complex, there is storage of paints in garage, striping equipment, trucks parked overnight. City Engineer Masteller read Ordinance 202-2 which indicated there may be violations in this case. Motion made by Bill Mahoney for approval, seconded by Harold Eisenbarth, Randy Mosby cast dissenting vote, motion carried. BES Homo & Lawn Maintenance (William & Brenda Schauman) - Motion made by Bandy Mosby for approval, seconded by Joe Stephenson, motion carried. A special meeting was set for Feb. 27, 1984 to consider all the pending occupational licence applications. Letters will be sent, and news notice made. There are two vacancies on the Planning and Zoning Board, Jesse Brock and Tom Kart, both who have not attended any meetings for months. Notice to the press requesting applications will be done. Meeting adjourned at 9:40 P.M.
