RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL - AMENDMENT TO SECTION 20A,5,7 -
ACCESSORY STRUCTURES
There was extensive discussion on Section 20A-5.7 of the LDC-Accessory Structures. Any type of
metal type buildings should be reviewed by Planning and Zoning. Harmonious design was discussed,
indicating the design should blend well with the primary structure, in height, material and color.
It was determined that staff should rework this Section and bring it back at another meeting.
DISCUSSION - COblMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
There was extensive discussion on the Community Development Block Grant. Mr. Cooper noted that
our City Council has hired the firm of Clark, Romeulus, and Associates to pursue a Community
Development Block Grant for the City of Sebastian. Because of the short time span that we have
to get this completed, surveys etc. are being done at present. This document can be continually
reviewed, so changes can be made over time. This Commission was critical of several terms and
descriptions used. The Board consensus was to bring this back to the March 16th meeting, maybe
even call a special meeting, invite the City Manager, and have the representative from CRA explain
the program.
