HomeMy WebLinkAbout04031980 PZPLANNING AND ZONING Sebastian , Floridm April 3 1980 Members present: Greg Golien Bill Messersmith Charles Falzone George Orth Berrie Bock Member Absent: Mary Bostian Meeting was called to order at ?:lO PM by the Chairman Greg Golien, Minutes of the last meeting were not read. The first order of business was a request from Merit Con- struction Company to construct a doctors office on U S #1. Blue prints and requirements were met and Mr Falzone made a motion that the request be approved. The motion was second by Mr Messersmlth. A vote was taken and passed ?he second order of new business was a request by Mr. George Avery , President of Grant Electronic Manufacturing Company. He requested approval to expand the compaa~ to an existing building in Sebastian. Prints and requirements were considered. Mr Orth noted that no sanitary coaditions were mentioned or noted. The committee approved the request provided the sanitary conditions or facilities were met as required.' Mr Falzone requested approval of the plans and Mr Messeraaith second the motion. It was passed by vote under the conditions and signed. The next order of business was a request by Mr Dan Preuss to give plan approval for'a recreation and eating area in Sebastian. The Committee gave favorable cousideration but requested Mr Preuss to have the property ~urveyed and that sewer plans be established. He said he w~uld return to the next meeting on April 10th with completed plans. New business continued with Mr'Nick Ingrao.and Mr Mel Broom of GDC. They requested approval to construct a warehouse on Gibson Street in Sebastian. Mayor Pat Flood informed the Board that Mr Grover Fletcher , owner of the property next to the construction site, had expressed objections to such a project because of drainage. Since the Board could not approve the project without considering Mr Fletcher9 Mr Fletcher was'called. Mr Ingrao , Mr Broom and Mr Fletcher conferred in the presence of the Board and attained a per- sonal agreement to the satisfaction of both sides. Mr Fletcher was assured that the drainage problem would be solved to meet with his approval and satisfaction. Mr Messersmith motioned that the plan~ be approved and it was second by Mr Falzone. The request was passed by vote. The Chairman r~ceived four letters fr~m individuals who had requested to become members of the Zoning Board. They were Mr Leo Wassett, Mr George Entienne , Mr E~sley and Mr James Bland. Prior to and considerati&ns Mr Golien explained that the individuals would be considered and listed in order of selection. He also stated that the persons con. cerned would be notified by letter of their selection. Mr Leo Wassett was introduced and 'considered. Hw will be further considered when all four persons are reviewed. There being no further business , Mr Falzone motioned that the meeting be adjourned. Mr Messersmith second, the aotion~ · Meeting was adjourned at 9~0 .
