ANNOUNCEMENTS.: CHAIRMAN THOMPSON ANNOUNCED THAT THE CITY.COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A SPECIAL MEETING WITH PLANNING AND'ZONING REGARDING THE TREE PROTECTION ORDI. NANCE. THERE WAS DISCUSSION ON WHEN THE MEETING SHALL BE AND THE 'CONCENSUS WAS MAY 12, 1994. MR. BARNES STATED HE WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE THAT DAY. OLD BUSINESS: NONE. HOME OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE ABS LOAN INVESTOR - 948.CANAL CIRCLE. THE APPLICANT WAS PRESENT. THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED AT 7:15 P.M. 11 NOTICES WERE SENT, NO OBJECTIONS RECEIVED. STAFF HAD NO OBJECTIONS. THE APPLICANT EXPLAINED THAT SHE WOULD BUY LOANS FROM THE. C, OVERNME-N~ AND WOULD TRY TO COLLECT THEM. THE BUSINESS WOULD BE PUR~ELY TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION OR MAIL. MR. MODEL HOME RENEWAL PERMIT TOZZOLO BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION - 1271 BARBER STREET. THE APPLICANT WAS PRESENT. 9 NOTICES WERE SENT, NO OBJECTIONS RECEIVED. STAFF HAD NO OBJECTIONS. MR. TOZZOLO STATED THAT THEY HAVE HAD THE MODEL IN THE CITY FOR A FEW YEARS AND ENJOY BEING HERE AND WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE AS SUCH. GOLDSTEIN TO APPROVE THE RENEWAL OF THE MODEL HOME PERMIT FOR TOZZOLO CONSTRUCTION FOR THE MODEL HOME LOCATED AT 1271 BARBER STREET, LOT 20, BLOCK 272, UNIT 10. SECONDED BY MR. MUNSART. ROLL CALL WAS MADE, UNANIMOUS VOTE 7-0. AMENDMENT TO LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR CORNER LOTS. CHAIRMAN THOMPSON EXPLAINED THAT THIS WOULD' BE A MODIFICATiON'~OF SECTION 20A-5.5(B)(2) IN WHICH STAFF RECOMMENDS ADDING A NEW PARAGRAPH. .~..,.,,,.~- STAFF RECOMMENDS THE FOLLOWING: WHEN TWO CORNER LOTS ABUT' ~;~CH OTHER, THE TWO COMMON FRONT YARDS SHALL.-BE CONSIDERED A SECONDARY FRONT YARD (REGARDLESS OF THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE) FOR BUI~DING~ SETBACKS. MEMBERS MATTERS: REVIEW APPLICATIONS FOR ALTERNATE BOARD MEMBER. THE SECRETARY EXPLAINED ,THAT ACCORDING TO THE CITY ATTORNEY EACH. VACANCY THAT ARISES MUST, BE ADVERTISED IN THE NEWSPAPER. SO THE ONLY POSITION THAT WILL BE FULFILL.ED THIS EVENING IS FOR FIRST ALTERNATE. CHAIRMAN THOMPSON OPENED THE NOMINATIONS FOR. 1RST ALTERNATE POSITION. MR. GENERAZIO WAS PRESENT AND STATED THAT HE DIDN'T REALIZE','THAT BOTH 1RST AND 2ND ALTERNATE POSITIONS WOULDN'T BE FILLED THEREFORE, HE STATED MR. SCHULKE SHOULD HAVE THE 1RST ALTERNATE pOsITrON'AND HE WOULD APPLY FOR 2ND ALTERNATE WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING OF MAY 5, 1994 MR. FALKE WONDERED IF THERE WAS ANY.DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 1RST AND 2ND ALTERNATE. THERE WAS BRIEF DISCUSSION ON THE MATTER. MR. MUNSART NOMINATED MR. SCHULKE FOR 1RST ALTERNATE. SECONDED BY MR. BARNES. MR. FALKE NOMINATED MR. GENERAZIO FOR 1RST ALTERNATE. NO FURTHER NOMINATIONS FOR MR. GENERAZIO, ROLL CALL WAS MADE FOR NOMINATIONS: MR. SHROYER VOTED FOR MR. SCHULKE MR. MUNSART VOTED FOR MR. ROLL CALL WAS, MADE, UNANIMOUS VOTE 7-0. MR. SHROYER MENTIONED THAT DISCOUNT AUTO PARTS IS USING-CITY PROPERTY FOR THERE DRIVEWAY. SINCE PLANNING AND ZONING A~PROVED THE SITE PLAN H.E FELT THAT ANY COMPLAINT'S MADE SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO P'-& Z BEING THEY APPROVED THE SITE PLAN AS SUC~. MR. SHROYER STATED THAT IF ANYTHING WAS DONE WRONG IT IS ON PLANNING AND ZONING AS WELL AS STAFF.
