BARNES, ALTERNATE, EXCUSED OUT OF TOWN ALSO PRESENT; LINDA KINCHEN, SECRETARY, BRUCE COOPER ARRIVES LATER IN THE MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS; VICE CHAIRMAN THOMPSON ANNOUNCES THAT THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE THE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING, A 2ND ALTERNATE WILL BE CHOSEN AND THERE WILL BE HOME OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES AND 3 PUBLIC HEARINGS ON ORDINANCES. OLD BUSINESS: MR. THOMPSON STATES CHILD CARE VS LICENSING IS NOT ON THE AGENDA AND SINCE BRUCE IS NOT PRESENT IT SHOULD BE POSTPONED TILL THE NEXT MEETING. ---------------------------------------------------------- APPROVAL OF MINUTES - APRIL 19 1993 - A MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES AS PRESENTED WAS MADE BY MR. SECRETARY STATES 20 LETTERS WERE SENT AND THERE ARE THREE OBJECTIONS STAFF HAS NO OBJECTIONS JAKE PERLOCK 1310 CHELTENHAM AGAINST LICENSE STATES HE GETS DELIVERIES TWICE A WEEK ED ZIWINSKI - 1318 CHELTENHAM - AGAINST LICENSE IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS STATES PROPERTY HAS TRASH ON VACANT LOTS BRUCE COOPER ARRIVES AT THE MEETING CARL BEAR 742 BELFAST TERRACE AGAINST IS STORAGE AND DELIVERY CONTINUES SAYS HE CLEANS EQUIPMENT IN THE DRIVEWAY AND GETS PAINT EVERYWHERE - JOHN BURKHART - 1350 CHELTENHAM AGAINST THE LICENSE AT THIS TIME. CHAIRMAN ANNOUNCES THERE SRE 2 ADDITIONAL LETTERS OF OBJECTION TURNED IN AT THE MEETING. COOPER REQUESTS LICENSE BE POSTPONED TO CHECK AREA AND RESIDENCE BASED ON THE NEIGHBORS COMMENTS. A MOTION TO POSTPONE THE H.O.L. TO THE MAY 20, 1993 MEETING AND ALSO HAVE CODE ENFORCEMENT FOLLOW UP ON THE COMPLAINTS MADE BY MR. SHROYER SECOND MR. BRUCE STATES IS THE OLD PALMER ELECTRIC LOCATION ON LOUISIANA APPLICANT STATES MOTOR WITH A SHAF COTTON WHEELS NO NOISE, VIBRATIONS, NO ELECTRICAL INTERFERENCE, 5 H.P. MOTORS WILL ENCLOSE WALKWAY TO BE ALL ONE STRUCTURE TO COMPLY WITH THE CODE - MRS. KILKELLY ASKS MR. GOLDSTEIN WHERE HE FEELS IT IS A VIOLATION OF THE CODE AND HE QUOTES PAG 404.1 NUMBER 8. MR. SHROYER FEELS THIS IS A HOBBY AND NOT A H.O.L. APPLICANT STATES NOT A HOBBY IF MAKES MONEY AT IT. A MOTION TO APPROVE THIS TYPE OF OPERATION FOR A H.O.L. MADE BY MR. SHROYER SECOND MR. FISCHER AMENDMENT TO THE MOTION BY MR. GOLDSTEIN THIS APPROVAL DOES NOT GIVE VESTED RIGHTS TO APPLICANT SECOND MR. SHROYER. AMENDMENT PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
