Chairman Fischer called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.

interviews and begin "visioning Process"
-Review results of
Mr. Les Solin and Mr. Thomas Tempia of Solin & Associates, Inc.
were present.
Mr. Solin stated the previous one-on-one interviews were thefirst
stage in beginning the visioning process. He reviewedthe results
of the interviews and went over the prepared summary given to the
Commissioners.
He explained that the Commissioners would be given a summary
presentation of the perspectives in the framework of comprehensive
plan issues. The Board was asked to give its assessment of
community values and forces impacting development and redevelopment
within the City. The feedback from today's meeting would be used
to create a 2-3 page draft of the "Vision Statement".

A summary of the basic issues within the Comprehensive Plan was
explained and discussed by Mr. Solin and the Commissioners=

The meeting resumed at 3:25 p.m. with all members present.
Mr. Solin began the second phase of the visioning process by asking
the Commissioners to list the following regarding the City and the
Board responded:

*Friendly neighborhood shopping

Mr. Solin then asked the Commissioners to imagine themselves being
away from Sebastian for 20 years and then returning. What would
they want to see? The Commissioners responses were:

-City free of blight
* Riverfront is a beautiful attraction
-Attracting people and riverfront business
-Accessible to pedestrians and bicyclists
-Ferry to inlet
-Unified design theme promoting Sebastian

-Located in Sebastian's City Center
-Diversified recreation programs
