PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
JULY 19, 2001
Vice Chairwoman Vesia called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

EXCUSED ABSENCE: Msi'iCarbano and Chmn; Mather
ALSO PRESENT:
Jan King, Growth Management Manager
Ann Brack, Recording Secretary
ANNOUNCEMENTS;,
VC Vesia announced that Ms. Carbano and Chmn, Mather have excused absences and
Mr, Svatik, Jr,(a) will be voting, She also noted that because of health reasons, Mr,
Verge(a) has resigned from this Board,

MOTION by Barrett/Smith
I recommend that we approve the minutes of July the 5th.
A voice vote was taken. 6 - 0, motion carried.
N,.EW BUSINESS:
A. Accessory Structure Review- Section 54,2-7.5- 1642 Sunport Road-
Steve Hull - 20' X 30' Detached Garage
Jane Hull, 1642 Sunport Road, Sebastian, FL was present and gave a brief presentation
and noted that this structure will be painted to match her house.
Jan King gave staff presentation which recommended approval.
MOTION by Barrett/Smith
I '11 recommend that we approve the accessory structure at 1642 Sunport Road.

CHAIRMAN MATTERS,:.

MEMBER MATTERS:
Mr. Barrett noted that the latest copy of the Comprehensive Plan has some problems
with at least one section missing, and a lot of mix-up with the index and paging.
He also complemented the responsible parties who are improving the .old Italian
American Club on CR 512 and Wimbrow Drive. Jan gave information on this site and
noted that because of a change in use, the owners were required to meet the CR-512
overlay landscape requirement.
Mr. Barrett then noted that the Hoagie Shop on CR-512 is beginning to look nasty and
Jan noted that she will pass it on the Code Enforcement. Mr. Barrett then inquired about
the condition of the culverts and swales as pertains to the final grades, especially on
new construction, He was advised to contact the City Engineer.
Mr. SVatik(a) noted that he will not be preSent for the next meeting (8/2/01).
Mr. Mahoney inquired about matters on 130th St. on a recently advertised Industrial site.
Jan explained that the first reading on this site was about a year ago, and it has been in
review with DCA ever since. He then asked questions about the newly adopted
recreational impact fee as it relates to the present requirement in the Land Development
Code for subdivisions. He was advised to contact the City Attorney.
