The minutes of the October 8th ~eeting were also read and, after corrections~ were made, they were also approved. Rene VandeVoorde presented the Taca Property ~kich will be known as "Point-o-~oods,. Bill Messersaith moved with Robert Ha~son seconding that we give approval for preli~inary plot. lit ~r. Richard G~berlimg presented a ~.~~ site plan for a quick oil cha~e and lube drive-in on Lot 4 Block 3 in the W. Subdivision. George Reeves ~ved ~ith Willia~ ~ahoney seconding that we accept, it passed. Re Nelso~-~att Property #Duck Point,) We recc~aended that this ~roperty be annexed into the City with a motion by Geroge Reeves and Rebert HanSon, Adjournment was at Approved........ o Disapporved.. ~ Respectfully suhaittod, Berrie ~. Bock EXCERPT FROM PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION-OCTOBER 22, 1981 E: DUCK POINT PROPERTIES MR. GREGORY GOLIEN, CHAIRMAN, PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, STATED THAT THIS TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION WAS FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION FOR NELSON HYATT, DUCK P~INT PROPERTIES. MR. GOLIEN READ A LETTER FROM THE TRAFFIC CONTROL COMMITTEE STATING THAT THE COMMITTEE FELT THAT THIS PROPERTY IS ADVANTAGEOUS FOR THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN TO ACCEPT AT THIS TIME. MR. GOLIEN TXBN READ A LETTER FROM GALLAGHER AND VOCELLE, ATTORNEYS FOR NELSON HYATT, DUCK POINT PROPERTIES, STATING THAT THEY HAVE SENT FOUR (4) PRINTS OF THE SURVEY AS REQUESTED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION. MR. GOLIEN PRESENTED THE PRINTS' OF THE SURVEYS ~TO THE COMMISSION AND POINTED OUT ON THE PLAT BOOK THE PROPERTI'ES THAT WERE PROPOSED FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION. THERE WAS A LENGTHY DISCUSSI'ON ON T~E LOCATI'ONS OF THE LAND THAT HAD BEEN PRE~Q VIOUSLY ANNEXED AND THE PROPOSED LAND THAT MR. HYATT DESIRES TO BRING INTO THE CITY. MR. GOLiEN STATED THAT I~ H-~S' OPiNI'ON THE.PROPOSED ANNEXATION DID NOT CREATE ANY ENCLAVES AND THAT T~E PROPERTP W~ULD B'E ALL R~GHT TO ANNEX. THERE WAS A SHORT DISCUSSION REGARDING THE PROPERTY T~AT I'S LOCATED FROM U. S. HIGH- WAY #1 TO THE RIVER. MR. REEVES STATED HIS' CONCERN AS TO THE PROPERTY BEING ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER FROM THE OPPOSITE SI'DES OF U. S. HIGHWAY #1. MOTION BY MR. GEORGE REEVES, SECONDED BY WILLIAM MAHONEY, THAT THE PLANNING ND ZONING COMMISSION RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT THE DUCK P~INT ROPERTIES, NELSON HYATT, BE ANNEXED INTO THE CI'TY. CARRIED. MOTION BY MR. GEORGE REEVES TO ADJOURN THE MEETING.
