A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT WITH SOUTH CENTRAL PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
COMMISION, A GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY IN THE STATE OF
LOUISIANA, FOR A SOFTWARE LICENSE AND SERVICE AGREEMENT
FOR BUILDING DEPARTMENT SOFTWARE SYSTEM, PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER'S ERRORS AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Sebastian Building Department has long recognized there is a need to
stream line the permitting and inspection process whereby on-line submittals, easy on-line inspection
scheduling and instant notification of inspection results are made available to the customer; and
WHEREAS, These enhancements to the Building Department processes will benefit the
customer by reducing the number of trips to City Hall, reducing the amount of paper documents that are
handled, and providing enhanced communication features; and
WHERAS, The Building Department has thoroughly vetted many building department
software vendors in search of one that meets the goals of the department and stays within budget
constraints; and
WHEREAS, South Central Planning and Development Commission, a governmental agency in
the State of Louisiana, has developed MyGovernmentOnline, a building department software system,
that can provide these services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with
the South Central Planning and Development Commission for the necessary software components,
including appropriate licenses and maintenance agreements, and execute all necessary documents on
behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Sections of this Resolution may be renumbered or re -lettered and corrections of
typographical errors which do not affect the intent may be authorized by the City Manager, or the City
Manager's designee, without need of further action of City Council by filing a corrected copy of same
with City Clerk.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
The foregoing Resolution was moved for adoption by Councilmember Hill
The motion was seconded by Councilmember Kinchen and, upon being put to a vote, the
vote was as follows:
